Solo-traveller found a friend. - I absolutely, 100% recommend this personalised private tour! My trip to Japan was decided suddenly, and within a few weeks, I was here. I am a first-time solo traveller, first time in a foreign speaking country and my first time travelling as a young widow. I expected my visit to be emotionally challenging, and it has been. This personalised tour was exactly what I needed. Yosuke was my guide on the day, but the engagement started before the tour began. Within a few messages, I knew it was the right tour for me. In fact, I felt like I was communicating with a friend. Our itinerary was planned and timed extremely well. My day was filled with history, culture, and local cuisine. There was a wealth of knowledge shared and plenty of time to ask questions as well as purchase souvenirs. Yosuke was more than a guide. He instantly became a friend. As he learned about me, there were more suggestions of things to see along the way. His passion for Japanese culture is truly inspiring. There was not a moment of silence. We talked and laughed all day. My grief embrassed the day out, too. I cried at the beauty of life, people and nature, and in a true friend style, Yosuke listened and shared the moments. I did not have the courage to use public transport in Japan on my own. Yosuke explained the railway system to me and showed me how to get around. The following day, I caught the train on my own! If I had known how confident I would be after his tour, I would have booked it for my 1st day. Before the tour, Yosuke had messaged, 'Let's make it a memorable one!', and he did just that!He is a genuinely kind human with a beautiful heart. Every moment of this tour is amazingly beautiful! It is said that, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Yosuke and Geon Japan, for helping me with was my step ❤️ arigatougozaimasu.

Best tour guide EVER!!!! - Ken did such an incredible job with our tour of Tokyo that we decided to book Goen Japan for a tour of Kyoto as well the following week! When Ben was already booked for the day we needed to do our tour in Kyoto, Ken traveled all the way from Tokyo to Kyoto to do our Kyoto tour as well! That is truly above and beyond!! And no surprise, his Kyoto tour was just as AMAZING as his Tokyo tour!!! Not only did Ken get us to all the main sites and some fantastic local restaurants, but he took some phenomenal photos along the way that we will treasure forever! I’ve had a lot of tour guides over the years and Ken is by far the very BEST tour guide I’ve ever had. He instantly felt like part of our family and helped us cherish every moment and every encounter which is the philosophy at the core of Goen Japan. I’ll never be able to thank Ken enough for making our vacation in Japan so special. The tours were the highlights of our trip and truly once in a lifetime experiences!!!

Great Tokyo tour - Our tour with Ken was amazing. We were all very tired, having just landed (after 14 hours) and Ken kindly went at a comfortable pace, building in rest stops when required. Ken helped us visit lots of districts, personalised to us and what we wished to see, plus off the beaten track places we would never had got to enjoy if not for Ken. We would highly recommend this tour, and Ken who is super knowledgeable and friendly. This was our first time in Japan and it was great being guided through the PASMO train ticket service and navigate through Tokyo. It helped us gain confidence to explore more ourselves. Do not hesitate to book, Ken is great and this tour was super helpful.
