Nihonbashi - The first Nihonbashi Bridge, originally an arched bridge made of wood, was built in 1603. The current bridge, a dual-arch design constructed of stone, was put in place in 1911. A boat landing was built to mark the bridge’s 100th anniversary, and has since become a popular launching spot for accessible river transport in the middle of the city. Recent years have seen also an active movement to revisit the role of the riverside, once a lively fish market, and the views of the bridge itself, and hopes are that this will bring further positive developments to the area.

On the other side of bridge was written in Hiragana also written by him. - Ningyocho Karakuri Watchtower - Ningyocho, a town with a rich history dating back to the Edo period, has developed as a commercial district since the early days of the Edo government and is the birthplace of kabuki, as well as the traditional Ningyocho theater and geisha culture that flourished in this vibrant and attractive part of Tokyo.
- Kiyosumi-Teien (Kiyosumi Gardens) - Kiyosumi Garden was once part of a feudal lord’s residence in the Edo period. It was acquired by Yataro Iwasaki, the founder of Mitsubishi, who planned the garden. It opened in 1891 as “Fukagawa Shinmikai Garden” for the comfort of employees and to entertain important guests. After surviving the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and the Tokyo air raids in 1945, it became a refuge and played a significant role in the area’s history. Today, it is still loved as a lush green oasis in the downtown area.
- Naritasan Fukagawa Fudodo Honden - The Buddhist temple which enshrines Fudo Myoo, one of the Buddisim deities. The statue has a sword that cuts off worries, a rope to save people from wrong path, and fire to burn the problems. This is the branch temple and its foundation began in 1707. The headquater locates in Chiba prefecture and brought the Buddha statue to exhibit to the public here in Fukawagaw 12 times in Edo time period. Then the temple building was finally created here in 1881. The buildings were burnt down in 1923 and 1945 and the current main hall was built in 1950. Buddhist monks burn the wooden plates with wishes, so worshiper can burn worries and attain peaceful mind.
- Tsukishima Monjya Street - “Monjayaki” is a traditional Japanese food that originated in the Edo period as “Mojizaki” and took its current form in the dagashiya (candy stores) of Tsukishima. Tsukishima is the birthplace of monjayaki and is known as the “town of monjayaki.” In the Nishinaka Street shopping district of Tsukishima (commonly known as “Monja Street”), there are over 80 monjayaki restaurants, attracting many tourists throughout the year.
