Highlights
  • Av Francisco Bilbao 8105 - Join us for a six-hour culinary and pairing experience celebrating the best of Chilean culture.

In Chile, we simply refer to it as “18”. We’re celebrating “September 18”! But with this event, we’ll be celebrating it ALL YEAR! Every month. Every week.

September 18 is the most significant national holiday for Chileans. These are days filled with joy, family gatherings, and public festivities in parks and open spaces. Most importantly, it’s a time to savor unique foods and drinks.

That’s exactly what we’ll teach you to prepare and enjoy. Together, we’ll make the best recipes for pine empanadas, choripán, Chilean barbecue, and of course, the drinks that bring smiles to our faces. We’ll share the stories behind these delicacies and the secrets of Chilean popular culture.

You’ll leave with a deep appreciation for Chilean food and drinks, a cultural immersion that you’ll carry with you and continue to enjoy wherever you are, all year round, for many years to come.

Join us for an afternoon of joy. You can’t help but be happy with delicious foods and spirited drinks.

Additional Information

I have taken barbecue courses with prestigious chefs, but more important than that, I have shared hundreds of barbecues with family and friends, learning naturally, little by little, recipe by recipe, how to prepare all the distinctive elements of a Chilean barbecue. We will prepare together (and consume, of course) the best recipes to eat and drink during these holidays: burgundy, pisco sour and earthquake, the quintessential drinks of these holidays. Yes, earthquake. It is a tribute that we Chileans pay, in the form of a drink, to this corner of the planet that shakes us from time to time with a powerful earthquake.
