- Khu Du Lịch Sinh thại Vàm Sát - Ae888 - Depart for Dan Xay Bridge where we will take a boat or canoe to visit the natural bird reserve at Vam Sat Eco-Tourist Zone when the bird nesting is at its peak season (from May to October). Vam Sat Salt-Marsh Forest Ecological Tourist Zone is located within a section of forest between the Vam Sat and Long Tau Rivers that was destroyed during the Vietnam War, now is regrown and protected as a wilderness park. We will also visit the crocodile swamp. The tour will continue with a trip to the bat lagoon before beginning our venture up to Tang Bong Tower at a height of 26 meters to take in the panoramic beauty of the biosphere reserve below. After conquering the tower, we will have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

This sprawling haven of around 40 thousand hectares of cultivated and wild mangroves is known as the city’s ‘green lungs’. Embark on an adventure through this enormous area, with planned stops at a bird sanctuary, a crocodile marsh, and Monkey Island.

Monkey Island - We had a really good day. The driver and guide were really nice and kind. The Island and Boattour were awesome and the Restaurant served good food.

Easy Day Excursion from HCM - Had an easy day excursion out to Monkey Island. We did it ourselves and it is a decent day out. Definitely take the boat out first to the camp and then walk back as it can get quite complicated to get boat tickets. It is quite a good spot to experience the mangroves and some of the Vietnamese culture as well as the Wildlife. Whilst the monkeys are interesting it is still worth keeping a distance especially with young children as they are wild animals.

Understand what you will really be... - <p>Understand what you will really be seeing. I booked this trip expecting an outdoor and wildlife adventure when it's really more about the Viet Nam war history. It is an interesting look at recovery of an area that was hit hard by agent orange but certainly not beautiful. I found the monkeys and military music blaring from loudspeakers very creepy and unsettling. Our guide spoke good English and was very good.</p>
