Throughout the journey, you’ll witness the untouched beauty of the Coffin Bay coastline, including playful pods of dolphins swimming alongside the oyster vessel (while sightings are not guaranteed, they are highly probable).
During our captivating wading experience, you’ll see just how clear the waters of Coffin Bay are (it’s no surprise they nurture and produce the world’s finest oysters…!).
In winter, there is a possibility that the tide will be too high for wading in the oyster farm.
We experience higher tides during winter, which enrich our oysters with a wealth of nutrients.
If the tide is too high for wading, we’ll cruise to one of Coffin Bay’s stunning, remote secluded beaches (a hidden gem accessible only by boat).
After the wading experience, we return to the boat where a seasoned oyster farmer will share the history of oyster farming with you.
Then we’ll cruise to Brother’s Island to observe the herds of seals.

Our oysters are at their best during winter, meaning the world’s most coveted oysters are available only in this season. Our tour gives you the chance to savor them straight from the oyster farm.

The cooler climate boosts upwellings, which provide oysters with nutrient-rich waters, helping them thrive. These upwellings nourish the oysters, resulting in firm flesh and a delightful nutty flavor.
Another reason we love oyster farm tours in winter is the often picturesque and calm conditions on the waterways, despite the cool weather.
Additionally, our premium waders ensure you stay dry and warm, allowing you to explore the waterways in complete comfort.
