On this exploration of Açor Mountain, guests are treated to a rural adventure replete with natural wonders.
The journey begins with a pick-up in Coimbra, after which we venture to the Historic Village of Piódão.
We immerse ourselves in the maze-like tight and steep streets, where every nook and cranny unveils an architectural marvel.
At lunch, we propose a visit to a local restaurant for a taste of the area’s speciality, Chanfana.
Returning to Coimbra, we take a detour through the Protected Area of Mata da Margaraça. Here, we embark on a short trek to admire the diverse range of plant life thriving in the forest, as well as the impressive Fraga da Pena waterfall.
We extend our tour with a visit to the neighbouring Schist Village of Benfeita. After exploring its charming paths, we make our way back to our starting point in Coimbra.
