- Lenght of travel by train from St. Moritz to Tirano: approx 2 hours and 30 minutes
- Lenght of travel by bus from Tirano to Como: approx 2 hours and 30 minutes
- Timings might change according to logistic needs or traffic conditions
- IMPORTANT: During the winter season, the Bernina Express route may offer partially obscured or less visible panoramic views due to shorter daylight hours. Departing at 4:14 pm from St. Moritz and arriving at 6:39 pm in Tirano, the journey’s timing may limit daylight scenery.

Great experience. Amazing views. - The Bernina train was great. Despite of rainy weather, fantastic views. The guide was great too. Shared a lot of knowledge and history. Long day but definately worth it for all the amazing views.

The Bernini Express Is Not To Be Missed! - Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. A long day but Chiara was very organised and Andreas a highly skilled driver. Central meeting point. Early start but a comfort stop at a really nice cafe helped. The drive to St Moritz was enjoyable and comfortable. We were taken to a chocolate shop once there & given suggestions what to see and where to eat. And where to meet at station for Bernini Express.
The Express was fabulous and not to be missed. The English narrator was hard to hear above the noise of train at times.
Not a lot to see or do in the short time in Tirano. Coach was waiting for us. Again Andreas drove us safely back to Como through very stormy weather conditions.

A trip of a lifetime.!. - Apart from the scary hairpin bends on the way up to St Moritz on the coach (excellent driving Lucca, you deserved the round of applause), the very summit at the ice lake was breathtaking, with the snow capped mountains all around. A wonderful experience to remember for ever.!.

Outstanding Trip - A very long day, but well worth the trip! St. Moritz is a bit sleepy in May, but it was delightful walking around town. The Bernina Express was everything it is advertised to be…stunning views!

Mountains and lakes - This was a well organised trip. A fairly small group and Simone, our guide for the day, did a great job getting us to the various connections promptly and provided an informative and funny commentary throughout the day. Respect to our driver who negotiated the mountain roads extremely well. The scenery is amazing. Views from both coach and especially the panoramic train are spectacular. Would recommend.

Memorable trip - Great concept - bus to St Moritz, return via Bernina Express - very good for a memorable one day trip from Lake Como to Switzerland. But get a more talented guide who would bring things to life. Also increase pick up locations at Lake Como - we had to spend $150 in taxi from Bellagio to catch morning bus. Also guide would not allow for dropping us off near Lecko for convenient trip back to Bellagio.

A very mixed and long day - Tricky! Such a lovely train trip, but a very long day; the transfer from Como to St Moritz was 4.5hrs (including a 30min comfort break). A direct trip should have only taken 2.5hrs, but we seemed to go out of our way to pick up the guide. We were only left with an hour in St Moritz. Whilst the guide was nice and knowledgeable, it was tricky to follow the dialogue. The seats on the train are pre-allocated to the group, but no numbers were given to us in advance, leaving a seat ‘free for all’, meaning our large group weren’t able to sit together, and resulting in an awkward situation which could have been avoided. The actual train ride is amazing!! A very mixed long day!
