Highlights
  • FoodTours.eu Copenhagen - This is the most comprehensive of our food tours and offers a unique insight into the Danish cuisine, the history and the recent changes it has undergone.
  • Torvehallerne - Here we will have several delicious tasting stops such as Michelin level cheese and organic chocolate. This is where the tour starts and ends.
  • Botanical Garden - We will talk about the wild plants and their importance to Danish cuisine as well as the historical importance of the gardens.
  • Aamanns Deli & Takeaway | Østerbro - We will have specially prepared smørrebrød (open faced sandwiches), the absolute best that Copenhagen has to offer of this most traditional dish. Please note that we sometimes stop at Café og Ølhalle 1892 on some days instead of this stop.
  • Rosenborg Castle - We will pass by this beautiful renaissance castle on some of our routes, mainly on Fridays and Saturdays. We do not guarantee stopping by the castle.
  • Workers Museum - Here we will be visiting the restaurant “Cafe og Ølhalle 1892”, the oldest restored workers pub in Copenhagen. We will sample their delicious smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) and a special pilsner. Please note that we won’t visit this location on all of our routes though- some days we visit Aamanns Deli & Takeaway instead.
  • Rundetarn - We will pass by this most famous landmark and hear about its history.
  • SKAAL - At this craft beer bar, we will each get to select a beer of our choosing, as we enjoy Danish beer culture and have a drink. Non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic ciders are also available.

Excellent Introduction to Danish Food - Our guide, Nino, was such an excellent guide. Creating the perfect combination of food, culture and history. Our time with him flew by, yet was perfectly spaced. We never felt rushed and really got to enjoy each individual food or beverage tasting. Such a great introduction to Danish food!

Excellent experience - Amazing tour with Miguel. He was kind of knowledgeable and very helpful to show us all around Copenhagen and pointing out all the historical information along the way. The food was great and he was very accommodating with two of us that had food, allergies. I had recommend this experience to anyone that is a foodie or wants to know more about Copenhagen.

Foodie Fun - Our tour guide was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions regarding the stops on our tour. We visited an amazing open air market with everything a "foodie" would enjoy seeing and tasting. We had a very nice lunch stop where we tried 4 different (and delicious) types of Smørrebrød (open faced sandwiches on rye bread). It was a nice sized group and we had fun learning about Danish food and culture.

Great start to our trip. - I booked this tour for the day we arrived from the US to keep us going since we only had a few days in Copenhagen. It was fantastic! Guxi was an excellent guide and we had an informative overview and tour of the city. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour with amazing food - Camilla is such a treat of a tour guide. She's so fun, personable, and knowledgeable. I could honestly ask her anything and she'd give an honest answer right back. I love the celebration of local cuisines and focusing on so so many amazing sights and details around the city. This is definitely not a tour you want to pass up because it may last a couple of hours, but keep in mind, you're eating a TON while also walking it off. Plus a few delicious drinks here and there to keep you motivated!

An average food tour - We have done lots of food tours in various parts of the world and really enjoy them but his one was lacking comparatively speaking. It was ok, but could have been much better. The first stop at the market was the typical smorebrood which was good, but the second stop was also smorebrood just larger and with different toppings. It was a lot of food at the second stop, so you won't go hungry. It took a few minutes to walk to and from the second place where we sat down for a while, it just seemed like it took too long and didn't add much to the tour. I would have preferred to have more different items and more quickly. There was a stop at a candy shop which wasn't really much other than looking at the equipment room and tasting the candy, which was good. On most tours we have done they are very well planned out and expecting us, so they are ready when we arrive. This one seemed like it was not very well timed in that way but like we were sort of interrupting their usual business. I would love to have had interaction with the shop owners and a little more detail and history on their businesses and more diversity in food items. For the time and cost, I wouldn't really recommend this one.
