Highlights
  • Christiansborg Palace - Christiansborg Palace houses the Danish Parliament (Folketinget), the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark.

It serves as the central hub of Denmark’s political life, where parliamentary sessions, state events, and official receptions take place.

  • Stork Fountain - The Stork Fountain was inaugurated in 1894 and is located on the small square known as Amagertorv in the heart of Copenhagen’s city center.
  • Nyhavn - Nyhavn was originally constructed in the late 17th century as a commercial port, serving as a hub for trade, shipping, and maritime activities.

The area retains its historical character with old wooden ships docked along the canal, adding to its maritime charm.

  • Rundetarn - Built in the 17th century, the Round Tower was constructed between 1637 and 1642 during the reign of King Christian IV.

It was designed by the architect Hans van Steenwinckel the Younger.

  • Rosenborg Castle - Rosenborg Castle was built in the early 17th century by King Christian IV as a royal summer residence.

It was initially intended as a country house outside the city walls of Copenhagen but later became a permanent royal residence.

  • Frederiks Kirke (Marmorkirken) - Frederik’s Church was commissioned by King Frederick V in the mid-18th century as part of a grand architectural project to enhance Copenhagen’s cityscape.

Construction began in 1749 but faced interruptions and was only completed in 1894.

  • Gefion Fountain - The fountain was unveiled in 1908 and is located on the waterfront of Langelinie promenade in Copenhagen.

It depicts the Norse goddess Gefjun driving a chariot pulled by four oxen.

  • The Little Mermaid - The statue was unveiled in 1913 and is based on the fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.

It was commissioned by Carl Jacobsen, the founder of the Carlsberg Brewery, who was inspired by Andersen’s story.
