Tours by Gabriel amazing the best - A solo tour is the only way to go! Gabriel made this tour Incredible without him we would definitely not have had as great time. He was amazing in terms of flexibility knowledge of the area and history very flexible on our time we weren't rushed. He is by far the best solo private tour guide in Costa Rica! If you're going to take a tour which you definitely should absolutely go with him you will love it.

Amazing, but difficult - Definitely requires a moderate physical activity level. The initial hike is extremely interesting but very hot with many steps. Bring water. Waterfall swim was absolutely incredible and the best part of the day. I wish we could have stayed for hours. Hot springs were also amazing.

The highlight of our vacation! - What a memorable experience!! My fiancee and I had the most fun and educational tour with Mauricio. We could not recommend this trip any more highly. As you know, the tour guide makes the trip special and Mauricio went above and beyond to make sure our needs were catered to. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals (and even the trees!) on our hike. He took us to a private, beautiful waterfall and was also a great photographer :). Amazing experience, highly recommend! - Gabriel is a wonderful tour guide! Very pleasant and friendly, and quite knowledgeable about the local wildlife. His English is excellent, and he was kind enough to help us practice our Spanish. He stayed in the van to let us enjoy the hot springs as long as we liked, which was amazing! I loved that my boyfriend and I got to enjoy the trip privately together, instead of in big group. Overall a fantastic experience. Pura vida!

Amazing personalized local tour - What a great experience. Our day started with a perfect pickup at our hotel promptly on-time. Our guide Miles was friendly and accommodating. Our hike was 2 miles but seemed so much longer in the Costa Rican heat! The waterfalls were simply delightful followed by amazing hot springs experience. Lunch was delicious, our guide shared so much information about his beautiful country and all it has to offer. We were looking for a way to see the local community and nature, Gabriel’s Tour and all the staff come highly recommended if you are ready for an adventure!

So much fun! Personalized! - Great way to see the rainforest! Mauricio was a perfect guide, mixing in history of the volcano with the nature we were seeing on the hike. We saw a lot of birds (toucans!!!) which was our focus—and learned about the terrain, bubbling mud pits, coffee industry. Clearly he loves the country and wanted to share the best spots to experience nature—including extra waterfalls that were more private. On the terrain: It’s not that the hike is hard—paths are set in gravel, rock or pavement. there are steps and branches on the path and it is HOT in April. Bring water and go at your own pace. We are fit folks, but anyone who can handle a 2 hr walk in the heat with steps should be ok. We saw lots of people of different ages and abilities in the park—you don’t need to be a gym rat to do this. He really took our interests into account, adjusting so we could get local mangos, taking lots of photos for us, and making it work for our schedule (offering a stop to grab coffee at the start, etc). Lunch was included (tasty) and you stop at the souvenir stands on the way home (all the tour groups seem to stop at the same spot). While you could try to do this on your own, we would have missed a lot of information, animals and details without the great guides. Use this group—it was amazing

Perfect Way to Explore Costa Rica - My husband and I loved the hike, waterfall, and hot spring tour. Gabriel was a phenomenal tour guide. Very knowledgeable and fun! He allowed us to customize our day, which we loved. The hike was beautiful and the waterfall was breathtaking. Hot springs were a perfect way to end the full day experience. Would definitely return with Gabriel as our guide!

Every moment was an adventure and lifetime memories - We enjoyed the day from our morning drive to the park to the buffet lunch to end the day. The gentle hike from the arid to the humid forest on the side of the volcano was magical. Flora and fauna which for us included an ant eater in the tree and a whole clan of capuchin monkeys. Danny our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. He made sure to engage our 12 year old son and provided lots of info for us inquisitive adults. The waterfall swim was amazing. And the volcanic mud and hot springs were a super relaxing end to the adventure. I would highly recommend this trip and say that the value is a very good one. Enjoy.

Best private tour! Definitely worth it. - Tour is operated by Gabriel's Tours. Great service! Our tour guides name was Mau and he is so knowledgeable of the area. I would say the hiking portion does require hiking sneakers and moderate physical ability. Buffet style lunch is provided, then the water falls and hot springs are amazing! Bring water shoes and towels. Thank you Mau! I recommend private tour because you can set your own pace and stop at local spots along the way.
