Highlights
  • Dunluce Castle - Perched on a basalt cliff along Antrim’s north coast, Dunluce Castle was the stronghold of Clan MacDonnell during the medieval period, defending against both land and sea invaders.

Constructed in the 13th century, this fortress has witnessed significant moments in Irish history, as well as influences from Viking, Christian, and British eras. Its rugged beauty, set against the Northern Atlantic Ocean, continues to captivate visitors.

The castle is steeped in eerie tales of crumbling walls and ghostly apparitions. It recently featured in the Game of Thrones TV series as the great Pyke, the seat of House Greyjoy.

Dunluce also inspired C.S. Lewis’s descriptions of Cair Paravel in Narnia and appeared in Jackie Chan’s movie ‘The Medallion.’

Though it might be your first stop, Dunluce Castle is sure to leave a lasting impression.

  • Giant’s Causeway - Discover the heart of Ireland’s ancient mythological landscape at the otherworldly Giant’s Causeway. While some claim that ‘Nature doesn’t work in straight lines,’ they haven’t seen the Giant’s Causeway.

This area boasts over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, mostly hexagonal, with some having up to eight sides.

Stroll among the towering pillars of what was once an epic bridge to Scotland, built by the legendary Finn McCool. According to legend, Finn constructed this bridge to confront a formidable Scottish giant.

Though it appears to be the work of giants, this stunning landscape was naturally formed by the slow cooling of lava from an ancient volcanic eruption.

Recognized as one of the top 100 geological heritage sites worldwide, the Giant’s Causeway is a must-see.

  • The Dark Hedges - Known as one of Ireland’s most iconic roads, this avenue, established around 1775, leads to Gracehill House.

Beech trees arch over the road, creating an atmospheric tunnel with creaking branches and dappled light filtering through the canopy.

The Dark Hedges can be quite eerie, as they are said to be haunted by a mysterious ghost called The Grey Lady.

Made famous by its appearance in Game of Thrones as the King’s Road, the Dark Hedges also featured in the 2017 movie Transformers: The Last Knight.

Whether you’re interested in Autobots, ghosts, King Robert Baratheon, or simply a scenic walk, the Dark Hedges has something for everyone.

  • Titanic Belfast - After a drive through the renowned Glens of Antrim, we head to Belfast city to visit the Titanic Museum. Situated at the former Harland & Wolff Shipyard, next to the dry dock where the RMS Titanic was built.

This museum chronicles the story of the world’s most famous ship, from its conception by J. Bruce Ismay and Edward James Harland to its ill-fated maiden voyage across the Atlantic. It also tells the story of Belfast, the city that built this legendary vessel.

From Belfast’s rise as a shipbuilding hub to the Titanic’s tragic sinking and its resting place in the ocean depths, the museum immerses you in every chapter of this remarkable tale.

  • City Hall - Our final stop is Belfast city center before returning to Dublin. This area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age.

With its rich history, it’s hard to know where to start, so be sure to ask your guide!

We’ll drop you off near Belfast City Hall, giving you time to grab some snacks for the journey home or perhaps enjoy a quick pint.

Take a brief stroll around City Hall and its surroundings before boarding the coach for the return trip to Dublin.

Great family tour - Had the best time with Ryan and Vic!! Great tour with awesome stories and humor. The bus was clean and comfortable. They allowed for a lot of time at the causeway, dark hedges and titanic museum and picked great photo spots for little ten minute stretch of the legs. Ryan was great for the do’s and don’ts both on the tour and in Dublin with restaurants and tourists spots.

Great Tour and Guide - Today, we are on our 3rd tour with Finn McCools. Without a doubt, our family loved, loved Ryan as a tour guide!! He was fun, personable and informative! He interacted with guests, told personal stories which made our experience ‘real’ and had such a pride for his Irish culture and language that we found inspiring. We have traveled many places, taken many tours and we know when we have a good guide. And Ryan is definitely a gem for your company!

Northern Ireland Highlights - My trip from the City of Dublin through FINN MCTOOL’S TOURS included Giant's Causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce and Belfast Titanic. The weather was beautiful. Each stop proved to be amazing and so worth it. Our guide RYAN was full of enthusiasm and he shared so much history to make the day even brighter. Ryan’s music filled the day with more excitement and made the day more special. I loved each stop. So unique and lovely! To stand where the Titanic was built was a dream come true. Our driver, Moustafis, was terrific and passengers were safe with his driving. Thank you Ryan for a wonderful day !

Great shore excursion in Belfast!!! - We took the shore excursion that was offered in Belfast as I cruise didn't initially have a Giant's Causeway excursion. I couldn't believe all we got for the price! Right from the moment of booking, there was great communication on our trip. Our trip was about 8 hours long and being new to tours, I had no idea how important it is to get good guide and driver. We struck (Irish) gold with Justin our guide and Aiden our driver. Justin was fun and informative of not only the scenic details, but also about our itinerary. At the end of the day we couldn't believe how many cool places we visited.

Quiggs is the best tour guide - Great straight forward instructions of where to go and meet. We had the best tour guide (Quiggs) all day who didn’t stop sharing his knowledge of all things history and myths and even played us a tune or two. He told lots of jokes and looked after us all attentively all day long! He really made the effort to get to know us all and check in on how we were doing. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and thank him for creating a personalised coach playlist and giving us lots of opportunities to ask questions. The driver drove safely and smoothly and we nodded off when we needed to with brilliant aircon (which was needed in this usually warm Irish trip). We saw so much in one day which ended with the fantastic titanic tour. Thank you !

Beautiful sites and scenic drives. - We travelled as a family with Finn Mc Cools tours and had Caleb as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the locations and entertained us through the journey. Note that you will spend majority of your time on the bus as the sites are at quite a distance from each other. Also the stops were pretty short as they need to make up time so we ended up rushing on and off the bus. Overall a great trip and recommended.
