Loved the tour and the guide: very informative and well-paced - First of all, the tour took us to for locations: Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Jewish Quarters, Synagogue (Sinagoga), and finally Mezquita/Catedral. My favorite were (1) and (4). (2) was interesting historically, but the (3) was closed when we visited, and we could not visit inside. Not a fault of the tour, but just that the construction was going on at the time. I loved the tour, and more importantly, the guide. His name is Angel. Angel was passionate about what he does, patient, funny, and knowledgeable. He of course knew a lot about the area, and made the information interesting/funny. I asked a lot of questions related to the history, and he patiently answered many of them, sharing more information with everybody too. I was a little wary before I booked because some reviews said they did not have headphones for the tour. That was not a problem for us at all. Angle gave headphones to everybody and took 2 extra in case somebody's headphones stopped working. That was a good backup. We were able to listen to him clearly throughout, except when I fell behind too much at times or in a different room in the castle. At that point, I would catch up and will be able to hear again. He gave us a lot of short breaks (2 or 4 5-10 minutes breaks during the 3-4 hours we spent together). He was caring for the people: kept pointing out uneven steps and things to watch out for. Overall, a great tour. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour of Cordoba, Alcázar... -
Wonderful tour of Cordoba, Alcázar of Córdoba, and the Mosque-Cathedral! The Alcázar of Córdoba has fabulous gardens. We could have stayed in the gardens all day. The Alcázar of Córdoba itself was not overly amazing, but the gardens are breathtaking. The other amazing thing on the tour was the Mosque-Cathedral. The Muslim architecture in the old mosque turned christian cathedral is fantastic. The arches give the illusion that the church goes on forever. Lovely mix of mosque and cathedral. The tour guide was very informative and kept a good pace. Great tour. Very glad we did it.

We especially enjoyed the Fortress of the Catholic Kings and Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. It was a great value for the cost.

Paqui the guide was fabulous and it... -
Paqui the guide was fabulous and it was a wonderful, informative, thought-provoking tour. I really appreciate Paqui's warmth and excellent interpersonal skills. The Jewish Quarter was a highlight for me as I am researching my ancestral roots in the Sephardi area of Andalusia. Thank you!

A significant site for history buffs. - This venue can't really compare with other "fortresses" in Andalucia but it is still worth visiting for historical interest rather than visual splendor. The guide explained well its history and significance, and described the exposed ruins of earlier structures.

Paqui, our guide, gets five stars... -
Paqui, our guide, gets five stars. She was knowledgeable and very accommodating. We had time to take photographs and read and look and listen. Wear good walking shoes for four hours of standing and walking. The organization to get going was time-consuming and tiring, standing and waiting for the company to decide who was to go into which group. Glad that the guides wore orange shirts so that we could follow them.

Tour OK .. wine tasting?! - Firstly, Cristina was a great guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed her commentary. However, just like so many other reviewers experiences, our group started small and grew as the tour moved on through the sites. No head phones were issued until half way through the tour so sometimes difficult to hear Cristina. The so called 'wine tasting' was a voucher for a small glass of local wine and a local gaspacho style soup, in an expensive looking restaurant where the staff didn't seem to pleased to see us. I certainly would not have paid extra for a wine tasting if I had have known I was paying for a voucher at a restaurant.

BEWARE, you won't get what you pay for!! - Let me start by saying our guide Angel was excellent! Unfortunately, the tour company he works for is not providing the service that Viator advertises/sells. We paid a premium for a small group tour (fewer than 20). Initially, at the Alcazar, our group was 10 people and it was great! By the end of the tour our group had over 60 people. Like other reviews mention, at each stop the tour company added more people to our group. After the Alcazar we added 12 people bringing the group to 22 and the stop in the Synagogue lasted maybe 10 minutes. We were then taken to the Mosque (where we hoped to spend the most time) and were told we needed to wait 40 minutes before we could enter--this was where I thought we have the Wine and tapas included in the tour price--nope, nothing, we were instead told to go find drinks/snacks outside the Mosque courtyard while we waited. When we came back from the snack run at the designated time, they had added more people and our group size was now over 50 people. I understand that we visited during Holy Week and tourists numbers are high, but don't charge your customers a premium for a "guaranteed small group, maximum 20" and then continually increase the tour size over the course of the morning to more than 5x the number of people we started with, utterly ridiculous! If you really want to see the sites and not be herded around Cordoba like cattle, you would be better off hiring a private tour guide. BTW no wine or tapas was ever provided.

This was a very weird tour. After... -
This was a very weird tour. After each monument we were given a break of 30 or so minutes. What they really did was stop the tour to add more people. After each monument our group got bigger and bigger. Also, if a group was late the whole tour was held up. This was a real disappointment because the monuments were nice to see but we spent more time waiting than seeing.
