Claudia was an amazing guide - Despite some problems the date of the tour happened (I got a message saying I had to go to the offices of the company to ask for the bus tickets or we wouldn't be allowed to take it. I noticed it just one hour before the tour started and had to run to their office, for they to tell me the information was wrong and I just to show up at the appointed place, so then I had to run to the bus stop) we enjoyed it. Our guide, Claudia, was amazing. I loved her energy, enthusiasm and how ready she was to answer any doubt you had about the site. I send her a lot of love, she really made our visit to Madinat al-Zahra something special.

Great excursion - We were in Medina Azahara today and Susana, the guide who gave us the tour, clearly likes what she does because she explained all the details of the history to us, making it very enjoyable and interesting. We really liked the visit.

Very interesting - Very documented guide. The volume of visitors was excessive. The board should control excessive exploitation if the monument is to be preserved.

Another amazing experience! - First of all, i would recommend doing the tour of the Mosque-Cathedral before doing the tour of Madinat-Al Zahra as it is somewhat of a continuation of the Mosque-Cathedral tour. This tour was very informative, Understanding just how big the area was and just how important it was was great to learn. Listening to how those that ran the city were ahead of their times was surprising to hear. Nothing can prepare you for just how brilliant this tour is aswell as the short video you watch at the end, just gives you a glimpse of how stunning it would have been to see in real life. Definitely recommend this tour if visiting Cordoba!

Visited Medina Azahara in January... -
Visited Medina Azahara in January 2017. Getting there was fairly straightforward - the bus stop in Cordoba is easy to find. Obtaining the bus tickets online from the local supplier, as indicated on the Viator website, took much longer than expected but, but after some emails and phone calls to Viator, eventually they arrived. The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The Medina is an amazing place, which gives a new perspective on the on Moorish occupation of the Iberian peninsula. Don't miss it.

Good guide - Good guide, enjoyable. But we bought the ticket on TripAdvisor and they told us to look for a green umbrella, but in the end, after asking a lot, the umbrella was orange. We share a guide with civitatis.

Outdated information by Viator - Be careful with the information provided by Viator because it is outdated. The Tour itself was ok (although the "English" guide could improve his wording), but our experience was completely ruined because of following the outdated information provided by the Viator website. Fortunately, the company that provided the tour was very nice and were able to partially fixed the issue. We tried to claim some money from Viator but Viator declined our application. Lesson learned, book with the locals and don't use Viator as intermediary!
