This was a beautiful hike... - This was a beautiful hike and swim through caves & rock formations to get to a gorgeous waterfall at the end! Gustavo was our driver from and back to our hotel and was such a joy to talk to, as our travel time was 1 1/2 hours each way. He was informative about the country and shared things that tourists may find interesting and not to mention, he was very funny! Once we arrived at the starting point of the hike, we met Stephen who was prepared to show us a good time. The hike took us through water quite a few times with guide ropes to hold onto which I enjoyed having that stability and we climbed through a few caves, sometimes in small spaces. Stephen showed us lots of things within a rainforest that were cool, including plants that served as insect repellent and one that can settle an upset stomach. I feel like he took us on the path that was right for our family - we were up for the adventure and physically were able to cross rock formations, etc with ease. We walked us through the challenging parts of the hike and we didn't feel rushed at all and we could take our time with the path itself as well as the waterfall once we arrived. He took pictures of our family and on the way back, allowed us to have a little fun with jumping off rocks, seeing smaller waterfalls and going down a rock slide. This was one of my favorite excursions that we did while in Costa Rica and would definitely recommend it to others.

Highlight excursion on our Costa Rica trip! - Steven was a great guide on our personal tour! He was so friendly and created great conversation on the hike. We loved the interesting plants, animals and history of the area he shared along the way. The waterfall was breathtaking and the opportunities to jump in and cross the river. This tour was the highlight of our Costa Rica excursions!

Incredible experience - We had such an amazing time with our tour guide Julien! He was so insightful and took us on some cooler paths through caves and made sure to point out the nature around us including cintronella which was helpful for the mosquitos. The falls were incredible and we even saw monkeys on the way back! 10/10 recommend

Good swim hike - This was a good hike and we enjoyed the added swimming as part of the hike to get to the waterfall, not your average walk through the forest. The waterfall was nice and secluded. We got there before other tours so we had some time as a family but it can get crowded quickly. Dry bags were provided so we could bring phones for pics but I recommend not putting your water bottles in with the phones if possible. Overall it was really good however; our guide knew minimal English. He was nice and willing to help explain but we didn't get much history or overall information about what we were seeing just bits and pieces that we could decipher with our minimal knowledge of the Spanish language. I still recommend the experience, family had a fun time!
