Embark on a journey that highlights the abundant natural and historical treasures of the Sacred Valley. In the morning, depart from your Cusco hotel towards Pallata, taking a brief pause in Ollantaytambo. The hike to Choquechaca commences with a climb from the village of Pallata (3100 masl) through diverse ecological levels exhibiting spectacular shifts in flora and fauna colors due to the cloud forest effect, a phenomena where the valley’s humidity is preserved, causing year-round mist. In Choquechaca (3800 masl), interact with the friendly locals, and immerse in their traditions and culture. Afterwards, savor a packed lunch on location. During the return trip, make a side visit to Pumamarca, the Inca archaeological site boasting the largest number of terraces in the valley. Finally, a transport service will take you back to your hotel.
