Highlights

Ausangate Peru - Mobility will go through your accommodation where you are staying, preferably (within the historic center of Cusco) and then leave for the community of “PACCANTA”. It is located on the slopes of the snowy “Ausangate”, at 4200 meters above sea level. It is in this community where we will receive our nutritious breakfast (approximately 7:30 a.m.), and then venture into middle of the Andes mountain range to visit “7 beautiful lagoons of Ausangate” at the beginning we will walk about 5 to 6 km.

The first lagoon (1:30 hrs approx.), then we will continue this fascinating adventure visiting other lagoons, located in the middle of the Andes mountain range, surrounded by wonderful fauna and vegetation, it will be a 10 km journey.

We will return to the community of “PACCHANTA”
to enjoy the hot springs and after that our delicious Lunch.

We will return to Cusco around 7:00 pm

The One-Day Tour of Ausangate’s Seven Lagoons is ideally suited for enthusiasts of the natural world with a spare day, or for those visiting Cusco. This journey will offer an opportunity to marvel at rich biodiversity as we travel to the seven lagoons of Ausangate and the sacred mountains, also known as sacred Apus.

Points of interest include: Azulcocha Lagoon, Otorongo Lagoon, Oq’ecocha Lagoon, Pucacocha Lagoon, Pachaspata Lagoon, Alqacocha Lagoon, Q’omercocha Lagoon, and the thermal waters of the Pacchanta community.

7 Lakes Hike at Amazing Ausangate - We spent an entire day with guide Robinson La Torre, from 6am until 6:30pm, and enjoyed every moment with him! I'm an avid hiker and don't normally hire guides, but I'm this case it was well worth it. There was so much to see at Ausangate that I had not seen before and his knowledge of the area, is people, culture and history made the trip a much richer experience. It was also very comforting to be with someone who speaks multiple languages, various extra supplies, and is prepared for any situation. This hike is AMAZING, especially with a friend like Robinson making sure you get the most from it!
