This hike will take you through the sacred lands and lakes of the Quechua people. I’ve travelled to many different countries in the world and have seen many different beautiful landscapes yet this one is the closest to my heart. Energies of Mother earth are very strong here. I’ve brought many people here before and everyone was touched. There is also opportunity to buy very local crafts made from alpaca and sheep wool. The hike itself from the village and back is approximately 6 to 8 hours depending on the walking speed. You do have to be fairly fit but at the same time it’s not too extreme. The elevation rise is 300 meters from the village (4000)to the last lake(4300). It’s optional to make this hike shorter by skipping the last lake of Pumacocha, in this case we would go around the first lake of Quinsacocha(3hours) and then Azul Cocha(1 hour). Pick up time in Cusco is 7o’clock. I hope You can join me and I’ll be able to share this marvelous piece of Mother Nature with You!
