Humantay Lake - Located at a lofty height of 4,200 meters or 13,780 feet, the journey, spanning roughly 1.5 hours, challenges even the hardy. But persist, for by 9:00 am, the allure of Humantay Lake’s gleaming turquoise essence is revealed, enhanced by the majestic backdrop of Humantay Mountain.
At this serene locale, treasure moments of tranquillity, snap photographs, and relish the serene vistas. As midday nears, our return journey to Soraypampa commences. - SORAYPAMPA - Around 2:00 pm, anticipate a delectable lunch at Soraypampa, revitalizing our bodies. This stop also affords a chance to stock up on any snacks for the return trip. Our departure from Soraypampa is slated for around 3:00 pm.
- Cusco - By early evening, around 5:00 pm, we aim to have you relaxed in your Cusco hotel, reminiscing about a day of unparalleled splendor.

Rewarding, difficult hike. Totally worth it. - Christian our guide was great!! Super happy we chose to do this instead of rainbow mountain! Hike itself was tougher than expected because of the high altitude, especially on the last portion which was about 65 degrees incline. Total hike about 4 hours round trip, coming back down was relatively easy. The view once you get to the top is amazing and rewarding. Keep in mind there is a chance fog could damper the view significantly so try to plan around the weather if possible but it’s unpredictable. Also, the reservation told us 9AM pickup at our hotel but we got a text at 2AM to prepare for a 4AM pickup which thankfully woke us up in time. So confirm with them in WhatsApp prior. Overall, totally recommend this tour!!

Memorable experience - I recently went on Humantay lake Trek with Magical Cusco Travel Agency and it was an amazing experience. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning and the hike itself was both challenging and rewarding. Our guides were fantastic, providing great support and insights throughout the trek. Definitely a highlight of my Peru trrip.

Could not be any better - From start to end everything was fantastically organised on our Lake Humantay Day trip from Cusco. Karen is a remarkable guide and shared so many interesting things about the local traditions and customs and the meals they served during the trek were authentic local meals as well. Highly recommend the tour company to anyone wanting to visit the Humantay lake.
