Highlights
  • Complejo Arqueologico Chinchero - Chinchero was the place chosen by the Inca Túpac Yupanqui to establish his residence, on the other hand Chinchero is one of the towns best known for its textile industry since Inca times, which stands out for its unique handmade style and designs.
  • Moray - Moray was an Inca agricultural research center, it is proven that it has up to 20 different microclimates or temperatures. Built probably between the years 1438 and 1533, this fascinating archaeological center shows us the high level of technological agricultural management that this town reached.
  • Salt Maras Peru - The Maras salt mines are located 3,000 meters above sea level, 1 hour and a half from the city of Cusco. These salt mines and their exploitation is as old as Tahuantinsuyo. Located on the slope of Pichingoto Hill are more than 3,000 pools filled with underground water that flows down the ravine and is then crystallized by the intense heat of the Sun. The origin of its source is still a mystery.
  • Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - The archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo was a military, religious and agricultural center. This fabulous architectural setting is interesting for the size, originality and detail of its structures. It is a typical example of the extraordinary urban planning of the Incas, its narrow streets cobbled and winding, the ruins scattered everywhere and their agricultural terraces are attractions that stand out in themselves and the visitor can appreciate them in all their splendor. Ollantaytambo is also considered the last living Inca city due to the Inca streets and the clothing of its inhabitants. that they still keep.

Super fun experience! - Even though we were delayed a bit because of rain, it was totally worth it! We got to visit several places and had a decent amount of time in each. Got plenty of fun facts and tips on where to take the best pictures! I’d sign up with them again in a heartbeat if I came back and wanted to take people on a tour like this.

The best experience - The best experience I could have, the guide was very attentive and cordial, more than anything with my grandparents, he always motivated them to follow all the routes. It was an experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Nice tour - Unfortunately I had to suspend and abandon the tour after lunch due to personal problems and I was not able to visit everything. Judging by what I visited, it was a fantastic tour, especially with the tour guy who was really fun and engaging. Of course, like many other tour operators, they make stops in some places to allow visitors to discover more about the Inca/Peruvian culture, but some of these places are just tourist traps , but it is not mandatory to purchase anything. I had some problems and they helped me find a taxi to leave the tour and go back to Cusco. I would still recommend this tour operator 100%!

Book if you like to get scammed - Potential improvements: - The tour includes visits to three different stores; weaving/textiles, salt/chocolate/coffee and jewellery. They all have very pushy selling tactics. These stores have the best products, no doubt about that, but the same goods can be found in Cusco for a much cheaper price. For example, a synthetic poncho costs 180 soles at the weaving factory but we bought the same poncho for 90 soles in Cusco. We bought 1 kg aromatic salt for 45 soles but found out the next day that the exact same brand and salt only costs 18 soles in San Pedro Market. It’s clear that this tour operator cooperates with the visited stores. - The visit to Maras Salt Mines only lasted around 15 minutes and we were only allowed to see Maras from far away at the highest viewpoint. Very disappointing. In addition, the cost for foreigners is 20 soles/person, not 10 soles as stated in the tour description. - Very stressful the whole day and especially to visit the last place (Pisac) before closing. The tour should maybe start earlier? - After a long day when we thought we had visited everything and thought we were going back to Cusco, there was another store visit. Awful tour planning. - It was very warm and we could hardly breathe inside the bus. If the bus had an AC, it was never used. - If you don’t speak Spanish, don’t bother to book this tour. The guide only translated the most important parts. The whole tour was mainly in Spanish and you are going to feel left out. - While waiting at our hotel in the morning, our guide called and asked us to walk one block to meet him and then walk together to the bus. We booked five tours in Peru with different tour operators and this was the first time a guide wouldn’t meet us and pick us up from our hotel. - We weren’t dropped off at Plaza Mayor after the tour as stated in the tour description. We were dropped off 1-2 blocks away. This becomes a big deal after a long day when you are tired. Highlights: + Likeable guide that did his best to make us feel included among the Spanish speaking people. + Complete tour with the most important places to see. No place was like the other. + Tasty buffet lunch with a good variety of dishes.
