Incredible! Adventurous! Beautiful! - Absolutely incredible experience. The ATV tour is very special across the red mountain area and the hike to Red Mountain is about 5 miles total. It is definitely difficult but 100% worth it! Highly recommend!

Breathtaking views and super fun ATV ride - We had such a great time! Breathtaking views, our tour guide and driver were lovely. Learned some Quechua, had a blast on the ATVs, great lunch, would definitely recommend. Such a beautiful place to drive around on ATVs; was a great way to cover more ground without being exhausted hiking as much in the high altitude.

Beautiful, fun and full of flames! - It is a very fun experience! The ATV ride is through a beautiful valley and there are many llamas. The Rainbow Mountain hike can be done at your own pace and they really make sure to help you if you suffer from altitude sickness.

Excellent company and service - Without a doubt the best company in Cusco, they offer the best tours. Samuel was attentive at all times. I highly recommend doing the ATV tour through Red Valley and Seven Colors, the landscape and the experience are brutal. Also, we did the humantay lake and the experience was also perfect.

Crazy Adventure in the Andes - This was an adventure I will never forget. The views were nothing I could have imagined and they took my breath away. The Red Valley is a must see place when visiting Rainbow Mountain. The ATV ride up was so much fun. There were lamas everywhere and we were the only tour traveling on this rout. It felt like an untouched part of Peru and it was so special to experience. I do have to mention though they did not have enough ATV’s for everyone to ride single even though the Viator page made it sound like your gonna get your own. So that was very disappointing. Also, they didn’t provide helmets. The hike up was a little treacherous with the snow and took around 1.5hrs rather then the listed 30min. The way back was not as bad since the snow had melted. Also, April was chilly (low 40’s F) and the workers said it would be 60’s so dress in layers even if they mention a higher temperature. Overall, I really enjoyed this tour but wish I was informed better on what to expect. The safety and hospitality needs work but still a really fun experience.

Great Views, Poor Service - The views were incredible! But the service and overall tour was a bit odd and less than satisfactory... First, the guide told us to be ready for pickup at 4:20-4:30am, but the bus didn't arrive until 5am. We also stopped along the first 2hr bus ride to pick up a 2nd guide and get gas, which was a bit strange. We got to the breakfast buffet inside an open barn style restaurant and it was freezing! The options were also a bit lacking - some fruit, a bland noodle soup, slices of bread, meat and cheese slices, and tea or what we think was hot cocoa? Our group was not informed of what was appropriate to wear, so many of us (out of group of 11) bought aome of the gloves and sweaters being sold in the buffet barn. Our guide was getting a bit frustrated and telling us to hurry up. Back on the bus for another 1.5hrs, where the guide then collected 30 soles rather than the 25 listed for Rainbow Mountain entry fee. He also sprayed some sort of essential oil blend on our hands to breathe in - this was supposed to help us breathe better and what was considered the oxygen. It smelled good, and at least placeboed us. He also offered coca leaves for motion sickness... Eventually, we arrive somewhere in the backwoods of the mountains (covered in snow, which we weren't prepared for). Our ATVs weren't ready for us - there had to be uncovered from the tarp on them, wiped off from weather that got through the tarp, gassed up, and tires aired up (with a push and pull compressor). No bathrooms as we were waiting, so we all had to scatter around the boulders, for what they called the "Inkan bathrooms." ATVs ready to go after a half hour, we had to do 2 people per vehicle, and the guides walked us through the control for about 30 seconds each and then they rushed us on our way. No helmets or rainjackets as mentioned. The leading guide was not consistent with hand signaling gear changes, and he was FLYING ahead of us on what was quite an unsafe pathway. We had to make several stopped for others to catch up, and then second the back half of the group was just in sight the lead guide sped off again (another in the back of the group who was very nice; and anothere going back and forth to scout the path and help with people who got stuck, though he seemed to not like us "slow" riders very much). We make it to Red Valley - breathtaking! Then we had to walk along what looked like a game trail (for the llamas) to get to the mountain with the Red Valley sign. One of our friends turned around because she was already having anxiety about it. It was covered in snow, steep up and steep down. They gave us little walking sticks, but we were not ready for this undertaking. Finally to the sign, we only had a few minutes to take pictures and then we headed along another game trail, for a longer period of time. Eventually we got to a more flat pathway, but the elevation and terrain were rocky and they weren't super thrilled about the breaks we were taking. After 30-45 minutes we reach the steps for Rainbow Mountain (that felt like the hardest part because the steps took us up to the 17,000ft). We also got a message that our friend that turned around was BY HERSELF. The guide kept assuring us that she was fine, she was fine, someone was there, "let's get a group picture and then go back quickly." We gave him the benefit of the doubt and walked the stairs to the top. It was pretty, but busy, and the people allowing tourists to take pictures with their dressed up llamas were pretty abusive to the animals! We all got quick pictures of the mountain, grabbed snacks, the began the trek down. We were booking it downhill for the first quarter of the hike, then it became harder. The rest of the flat path back to the game trails was uphill and we were struggling. The guides kept trying to hurry us up, but did spray the "oxygen" on our hands and checked on us every once in a while. Back to Red Valley we got, across the games trails, which lost some of their snow by now so the path was easier to see and walk. We eventually reach our friend that turned around and were informed she did not turn around from her own mind. One of the guides told her she was hiking going too slow (since she was going last in order to take her time). She tried to explain she was just being careful and taking her time because she was scared and he told her she was being stupid and she should just "turn back now." She was shocked by the response and decided to go back, asking the one guide if he would at least be coming back with her. He said "no, bye" and LEFT HER THERE FOR THE 2 HOURS WE WERE GONE! We were all exhausted and frustrated on our ATV ride back, which the front guide did not make stops for this time. We make it back to the place where our bus is, used the "Inkan bathrooms" again, and then boarded the bus. The bus driver booked it back to the buffet place for lunch, but we were still an hour later than the itinerary planned, so some of the food was kind of cold and wilting, but there were more options than breakfast. We ate quickly and boarded the bus back to our hotel. We got back a little after 6pm. We did not tip - inaccurate descriptions, unsafe conditions, lack of hospitality, and unrealistic expectations. If you are an axtremely avid hiker with low expectations on directions, then you might feel this deal is fine for you. For everyome else, take extreme caution booking this excursion.
