Great experience with formidable guide Anibal - Incredible destination, worth the trip. The tour was perfectly organized, including breakfast and lunch. We felt safe every minute thanks to our guide Anibal, who was giving us recommendations on how to deal with altitude and to set our own pace. He also carried oxygen and was carefully checking our health status constantly. Besides, he knew where to take the best pictures avoiding long queues. Super recommended

Amazing tip to Rainbow Mountain - It was a great trip, exactly as advertised, while the staff were very professional and accommodating. Anibal was spectacular! He was prepared for everything, from lending us walking sticks to to helping when one of us needed some oxygen. He allowed us to move at our speed during the trek and did an amazing job taking pictures and recommending good spots. He also did a great job providing the history of the region and its inhabitants. Victor did a great job navigating the Cusco traffic and getting to where we needed to be. Overall, it was an amazing experience and one that we would strongly recommend.

Hiking Rainbow Mt - Hiking up Rainbow mountain was a great challenge but so worth it once you got to the top! The views were amazing but it is a workout with less O2. Go slow and steady and you can get to the top.👏👏

Wear heavy clothes - Rembow is beautiful but if you go on the winter like now you MUST wear a lot of layers and my suggestion is to take the horse as soon you get there! Because the combination of the cold wind and altitude will make very hard to get up! My tour girl Judit was Amazing!! was very bless to have her!!

Taste the Rainbow - Our trip to Rainbow Mountain provided by Rainbow Mountain Cusco Agency was amazing! The altitude is something to take seriously. Make sure you take a few days to acclimatize in Cusco or somewhere else above 10,000 feet. Our guide Annabel (spelling may be wrong) and his team were fantastic. They were constantly checking on the group to make sure everyone was doing ok. In addition, the breakfast and lunch locations were great. I highly recommend this company and tour guide.

Go to rainbow Mountain just not with this tour guide - Unfortunately, although I got to the mountain, I never climbed it. My tour guide was arrogant and dismissive. I don’t think it was the language barrier because his English was perfect, but he literally made me cry and I decided to turn around and go back to Cusco. In the car ride he showed me a picture of his half naked “girlfriend,” some coed from Wisconsin he clearly had a fling with when she was in Cusco six months ago. He then dismissed my ayahuasca retreat, which was the reason I came to Peru and was very profound and changed my life. He felt the need to poo poo it, even though he’s never done the medicine. At breakfast, he asked very invasive and personal questions about my family and proceeded to tell me that’s why I was traveling alone. In the car later, he kept telling me that we were going to the bus stop. So I kept asking oh we’re going on a bus? and he would say no and I would say well why are we going to the bus stop? then he said the driver is coming with us to the bus stop and I said: oh the driver is taking the bus with us? And he said we’re not taking a bus! Do I returned: but you said we were taking a bus. He got very disgusted with me and just snapped, “FINE, I said we’re taking a bus. But we’re not taking a bus.” I finally figured out he meant “Parking lot.” The language confusion was fine but the way he spit at me when he said, “fine I said Bus” was completely uncalled for. When he could tell I had, had it with him, he changed his tune but it was too late. We climbed for maybe ten minutes then the thought of spending two hours alone with him climbing up and two hours down was out of the question. I went online and looked at pictures. There’s MORE! The tour operator Contacted me at 6:30PM the night before pressuring me into a 4AM tour instead of my 730AM tour because the other people on my tour canceled and I would be the only person. When I got back to them after spending an evening with a friend, I said, “No. Way.” The tour operator then tried to persuade me by saying they would offer me half price to literally get up in a few hours to go on this tour in the dark. The driver was competent, but didn’t speak a word of English, which was a little difficult as he picked me up alone, and there was no guide with him so I was completely confused what was going on. Other than that, it was fantastic! (Sarcasm)
