Memorable experience, great host - It was a slow season so my husband and I had a truly private tour. Nearly a year later this remains our most memorable experience from 2 weeks in Spain. The meal alone was worth the cost of the tour. We learned about the varietals that make up Rioja wine and what the official label colors really mean (or don’t mean).

great tour guide. worth every cent - Best Day of our vacation. Jose provided a very complete explanation of the grape/wine processing and brought us to his home restored winery. We met and enjoyed Jose's family and his prepared dinner. Must rate the tour a 10. we have a new friend in Spain.

Traditional vinery - Amazing drive around the vinyards. Wine tasting in a few good vineries, but highlight was the tour around the traditional vinery and late lunch in the vine barrel at Bodegas del Tesoro. This vinery also had my favourite wines and olive oil for sale. Fantastic day enjoyed by the whole family

Amazing day of wine in La Rioja - Amazing day with Juan Manuel, visiting and tasting the wines and vineyards of the Rioja region. We received a full history of the region, it’s geography, the grapes, the wines and the foods from our guide Juan and the hosts at each vineyard we visited. Spectacular countryside, beautiful vineyards and great Rioja wines that we tasted and consumed rather heavily. Juan takes you through several gorgeous towns finally at the end of day we stopped at his newly converted winery, which we toured and then had a wonderful meal inside a huge winecask. We made it back to Logrono, groggy and overjoyed by the experience. This tour is well worth the expense. Don’t waste your time if you don’t like wine and learning a lot about them. We enjoy doing both and we had the most wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour.

One of the best days ever! - OMG! How do I capture what a beautiful day this was? Jose, and his hospitality made this one of our best days ever. We have done wine tours in numerous countries but this exceeds them all. Not only did we taste great wine and learn about Rioja wine, but we were treated as guests in Jose's own winery and tasting room. It was an amazing day. If you're thinking about it, just do it! We came to Logrono for the sole purpose of a good tour and this far exceeded any hopes we had. Bravo!

Authentic Experience - Wonderful and authentic experience. Jose was genuine and very knowledgeable. Ended at his family’s winery where we had a great lunch inside a barrel which was very unique. Loved meeting his family. Highly recommend!

Checking out the Rioja wine area. - We really enjoyed the visits to most of the wineries, Luis Canas, La Rioja Alta and the final stop La Bodega de Tesoro. The other winery was soso. At Tesoro, we had a fantastic delicious late lunch in a wine barrel. Jose was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable, but a little hard to hear at times during the ride. We stopped in the fields to see what grapes had been left after the harvest, and we stopped when we wanted to take some scenic photos.

Rioja wine tour. - Jose was totally knowledgeable and passionate about Rioja wines. His restored winery and cave was truly special. We had a wonderful afternoon and totally recommend Jose’s tour.

EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE ON THE RIOJA WINE ROUTE - Jose R. Camara personally picked us up from the hotel in his van. He took us on a tour of La Rioja Alta and La Rioja Alavesa in which we visited three top-level wineries where they gave us some tastings of their best wines. He taught us the entire wine process from the vineyards where they were harvesting to the wineries where they make the wine and ended the journey in his winery called La Bodega del Tesoro where we tasted three wines from his property and he gave us a Exceptional food from local products from La Rioja prepared by his wife. In the end we returned to our hotel in Logroño. The experience was a 10. The very professional guide answered all our questions and his wife was an excellent host and cook. Not only exceptional experience but highly recommended to get to know the area.

MAGNIFICENT EXPERIENCE IN LA RIOJA - Wonderful experience with a guide of 10 (Jose R. Camara) who taught us the entire wine process, from the farms to the winery on a long tour of Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. We went to three wineries in Niel with their respective tastings. And as a final highlight, we went to the Treasury winery on his property, where he and his wife enjoyed an exceptional meal. In short, an extraordinary experience 100 x 100 recommended and almost mandatory if you visit La Rioja.
