Additional Information

This photographic journey is offered in both New Delhi and Old Delhi, catering to different scenes, people, markets, and monuments of interest to a street photographer. Old Delhi, boasting locations such as Chandani Chowk, Chawari bazaar, and the Spice market, provides an exceptional setting for capturing the vibrant and diverse city life of Delhi through the lens. Its bustling crowds, markets, food stalls, and the dispersion of color and life in its old houses and shops are truly unmatched. It’s a treat for photographers who enjoy documenting the daily life and striking sights of locals in a metropolis like Delhi, where the old seems wonderfully surreal against the backdrop of the modern.

New Delhi, on the other hand, offers a fascinating juxtaposition of the old and the ultra-modern.

This photography excursion is a delightful way to encapsulate these varied scenes. The places mentioned are simply a guide; the actual itinerary will depend on available time, traffic, and the interests of participants.

Capturing the essence of Old Delhi! - Jaidev was a tremendous guide for this adventure. He’s an experienced photographer with a keen sense of lighting and composition as we turned corner after corner in the small streets and alleyways. He had a great knowledge of the history of the area and he knew many people as we went along. It turned into a bit of a food tour as well as we took little breaks along the way. We saw so much of Old Delhi that we wouldn’t have without Jaidev!

The tour is recommended - It was a good photography tour. I have half a day to go around Delhi after my conference days. Jaidev was an excellent guide with a good knowledge of the area. I enjoyed the story of the market and the people very much, and it a good for me to give background to my photo. Thanks

Amazing tour with an expert guide and photographer! - I asked for a custom 1 day photo tour, and Jaidev did a fantastic job! He was able to find great spots to shoot monuments, gardens, and street art. We spent a full day wandering through New Delhi. Jaidev was extremely patient and helped pick some unique angles and spots. He is very observant and we saw many details I would have missed on my own. Come join him as you will not be disappointed!

A real photo tour with a real photographer. Great stuff!! - Wow! As an avid photographer I wanted to get a different kind of experience catering towards the unique desires of a photographer. It was a relatively lastinute trip and I needed to find aeone who was flexible because I wasn't sure ofynexact dates and had no idea what images I wanted to get. Finding Jaidev was exactly what I wanted, an immersive multi-day photo adventure with street, architectural, historical, qnd cultural elements. For the record Delhi is HUGE and there are photo opportunities everywhere but going with a guide who is also a photographer is game changing. You should look for someone who knows what works, when to be there, can interpret what you like, and most importantly, is patient. I have been with many local photo guides who just want to get you to the shots others have taken and enjoyed but Jaidev falls into a higher category where he wants to help you find the images and settings you want He was generous sharing his knowledge and wisdom of both Old and New Delhi. At first I was completely overwhelmed after travelling 36 hours to get to Delhi from the US and not sleeping much in the morning. We gradually worked our way through the markets of Old Delhi as I acclimated and eventually got to historic and religious sites. Weet pretty early each day and Jaidev stayed with me until I had to stop (jet lag is a bummer). He was on time, took care of all of the expenses, had a great well thought out route and the patience of a saint. I would not only highly recommend this tour, but spend a few days with Jaidev, he's a great guy and makes for a very memorable experience.

Enjoyable and insightful street photography tour - What an amazing experience! My guide and mentor Raj took me on a walking tour around Old Delhi, through bustling streets and mysterious alleyways. Places tourists would not go. We met locals, took photos of street scenes full of people and streetscapes full of old Persian architecture and human endeavour. Raj was just excellent - he was my photography instructor, food discoverer (his company also do food tours!) and GPS! I am grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this tour for amateur and serious photographers alike, and for anyone who would like an insider,s view of Old Delhi.

A wonderful trip to photographer's paradise! - We arranged a tour of Old Delhi during a brief visit in February. Our guide was Ashcan (Ash) and he was simply excellent; knows the place like a local, really understands the technical details of photography, and great company too. Together we explore the densely packed streets and alleys of the old city, starting in the (relative) quiet of the early morning and enjoying the experience of the city coming to life for the umpteenth time. We avoided the obvious tourist attractions and dived instead into stores, workshops and tiny restaurants. A tremendous experience and I cannot recommend highly enough. For anyone interested in street photography, you simply have to do this; the only downside is that afterwards, New York, London and the rest will seem rather dull in comparison.

Great way to explore and take great pictures - As I had only 72 hours in Delhi I wanted to make the most out of it. The photography tour through Old Delhi with Jaidev didn’t disappoint. He showed us the highlights, guided us through a maze of alleys where I definitely would have been lost on my own, told some backstories about this part of town and Indian culture, introduced us to some local food and he had knowledge about photography too. Would definitely recommend this tour.
