Highlights

Tours start with a pickup from your resort or hotel. First, visit a local school to interact with children and learn about their education and culture. Next, head to ‘The Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park,’ Fiji’s first National Park established in 1987 to preserve a unique natural and cultural heritage site. You can either take a one-hour walk to explore this unique ecosystem or opt for a guided tour with a local ranger. The tour then continues with a scenic drive through the picturesque Sigatoka Valley, offering stunning views of Fiji’s renowned ‘Salad Bowl,’ famous for its vibrant patchwork of fruit and vegetable crops and mountains. Proceed to Lawai Pottery Village, a Fijian village located about 5km from Sigatoka Town. Begin with a village walk for a cultural experience, followed by a short pottery-making demonstration and interaction with locals, including Kava tasting. Handmade pottery is available for purchase at your own expense. After visiting the village, head to Sigatoka Town for a delightful shopping experience, exploring local handicraft shops and markets. The tour includes a light lunch.

Great cultural visit! - We did this tour as a family with a young child. Our guide Avi was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He even waited for us when we were 30 minutes late at our hotel pick up. We were the only ones on the tour so it felt like a private tour. The pottery village was a great insight into traditional life. Be aware that you are expected to make purchases to support the village. The sand dunes were beautiful and scenic. The school visit was fun and the kids full of energy. The local market was a little busy and a few vendors hassled us, so be prepared to say no. Lunch was great. It was at an Olive Tree franchise restaurant. It was hygienic, affordable and tasty. Overall, 5 stars!

Exceeded our Expectations - A must do when in Fiji! Do not miss this experience. Our tour guide Khon went above and beyond to show us around fiji. He was very personal and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We even had our baby with us and he was absolutely so sweet to our son. He answered all of our questions and had many suggestions for us. Khon gave us a different outlook on Fiji and we truly appreciate it. Thank you Khon!

Great driver/guide - The reason I give this tour 4 stars is that we did not expect to pay extra for hotel pickup. No one was charging for this and we should have known ahead of time, like mentioned on the website . We got a confirmation email stating the $100 FJD for two people on top of what we already paid to book. If we had known before we booked we would have passed this tour as it was not worth that much money. Luckily our driver Sami was amazing and made this experience unforgettable. He not only was great at driving but also answered all the questions that we had. We saw the Sand Dunes ( 1 h walk , you can also choose the 2 h tour as you get to the park), we saw the town of Sigatoka and stoped for some shopping , as well as visiting the Hindu temple, we went to the Lawai village where they showed us how they make pottery and gave us a tour of the village. The schools does not allow visitors after CoViD so we did not see them, they should take them off the trip description if I can suggest. Lunch was provided as well.
