Wait...where did I end up? They left this Enslaved Persons revolt out of my school books. - Our guide was Jim, he was very knowledgeable, great at keeping our small group engaged, and a tremendous educator. I appreciated the 1811 revolt information along with a history of the family and their ties to local history. I happened to stumble upon the location via reddit. The manager of the gift shop was also very helpful and accommodating. I found that I had two spooky type incidents and wasn't even aware that was going to happen. Thank you to all who contribute to keep history alive.

Wonderful experience with Beverly! - From the moment I arrived and walked in, I felt a warm welcome. The staff was amazing and I got a solo tour with Beverly. She did an outstanding job explaining the history of the plantation and really took her time showing me around, asking if I had questions several times. She also was interested in my life and asked some personal questions, which was great. We bonded in the short time we spent together. She invited me to tour the grounds after the official tour with her ended and there was no rush to leave. Very interesting displays and history. She talked clear and took her time!! Highly recommend.
