Can't beat their knowledge or passion for Old Dhaka - You won't be able to find a pair of tour guides more knowledgeable or passionate about Old Dhaka than Biraj and Tanim. They both grew up in Puran Dhaka so, for them, the tour is more than just sightseeing--they really try to share everything they know and love about the place. They are super attentive and share a deep passion for preserving historical architecture (be prepared to hear LOTS of stories about creating human chains to prevent the demolition of a building).
The tour can run long so be clear upfront about how much time you want to spend on the tour. They also focus more on historical buildings with personal significance than on must-see locations, so be sure to tell them ahead of time which hot spots you want to hit (e.g. Star Mosque or Pink Palace) otherwise you may run out of time to see these. They'll basically personalize the tour for you depending on what you want to see more or less of, so be clear about what you want.
