Great Old Dhaka city tour - Had a great day, visiting many spots in Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. We started our trip by visiting Lalbag Fort with its beautiful pink color, nice gardens, old palace with 400 barracks, the royal mosque, the secret tunnel, rest area with Turkish Hamam and royal toilet, big pond, grave of Bibi Pari, daughter of Shaista Khan. Our second spot was by visiting Dakeshwari temple, a religious place for Hindu. Later, we visited Tara Masjid or Star Mosque with its beautiful architecture. Next is Armenian Church, built in 1781. A short stop to the port where daily ships move to the south. Ahsan Manzil is another amazing place to see. Astonishing pink palace, many famous ancient officials, poets. Wonderful paintings, dining halls, musical instruments and beautiful garden. My day continued to full day by visiting Gulsan Lake Park, Hatirgill, Karwan Bazaar and ended in Bashundhara shopping mall where we had our late lunch. Wow… what a great day. All in one. I almost covered most of famous highlights of Dhaka in one day. Great day and amazing informative guide Mr. Shahadat who explains every visit in details. Thank you Travel Mate for showing me the beautiful face of Bangladesh.

Highlighting Points of Beauty and Historical Interest - I visited Lalbagh Fort, Star Mosque, Armenian church, and Dhakeshwari National Temple on a private tour. The places were well chosen, and the guide was knowledgeable and considerate. The vehicle was comfortable, and the driver was exceptionally skilled and brave. The traffic here is hellacious, but it gave me an opportunity to view street life close up.
