Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani (1,830 m / 6,003 ft)

Dharapani - Today, we will journey from Kathmandu to Besishar along the Trishuli river. From Besishar, we will take a jeep to Dharapani where we will spend the night.

Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2,710 m / 8,891 ft)

Chame - The day’s trek takes us to Chame, the administrative center of the Manang District. As we ascend, the landscape transforms. We will walk through rhododendron forests, enjoy stunning mountain views, and experience a unique blend of cultural influences. Chame, at 2,710 meters (8,891 feet), greets us with its tranquil beauty after about 6 hours of trekking.

Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang (3,300 m / 10,826 ft)

Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang (3,540 m / 11,614 ft)

Manang - On the fourth day, we will trek from Upper Pisang to Geru, where we will witness spectacular views of the north face of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho, and Pisang Peak. As we ascend, the air becomes drier, colder, and more abrasive. We will have the opportunity to learn about Buddhist culture as we pass through Tibetan communities. We will visit Barge Monastery, the largest monastery in Manang. As we pass more monasteries and finally reach Manang bazaar, a tourist-friendly area, you will notice the path is lined with Buddhist shrines.

Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Manang

Manang - Our acclimatization day will be spent in Manang, located at the base of Annapurna III, offering breathtaking views of both Annapurna and Gangapurna. Today, you might take a walk around Ice Lake to help with acclimatization.

Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110 m / 13,484 ft)

Yak Kharka - Today, we leave Manang village and trek up to Tenki village via a trail that crosses a stream. We continue to ascend as we leave the Marshyangdi Valley and move northwest, up the Jarsang Khola valley. The trail passes through meadows and juniper scrub to the small settlement of Gunsa, which consists of a few flat mud houses. We reach Yak Kharka after crossing a small river on a wooden bridge that winds through meadows and an old Mani wall.

Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600 m / 15,091 ft)

Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800 m / 12,467 ft) via Thorong La Pass (5,416 m / 17,756 ft)

Muktinath - Our main goal for the day is to cross Thorong La pass, one of the highest passes in the world. We start our ascent around three in the morning. Upon reaching the summit, we realize the trek was worth the effort. Before heading to Muktinath Valley, located at the base of the Thorong La pass, we can take a few photos.

Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani (1,190m / 3,904ft)

Tatopani Hot Spring - We will drive for about three hours from Muktinath to Tatopani in a jeep. After arriving in Tatopani, we’ll relax at our lodge or visit the hot springs for a swim.

Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,874m / 9,429ft)

Ghorepani - We leave the hot springs behind and trek through the ethnic Thakali villages of Sikha and Chitre to reach the east bank of the Kali Gandaki River and ascend to Ghorepani. Our trek takes us through beautiful forests with birches, magnolias, and rhododendron, as well as terraced farms surrounded by mountains. We will spend the night in the charming village of Ghorepani, situated on a hill.

Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m / 10,525ft) - then trek to Birethanti (1,039m / 3,250ft) - Drive to Pokhara

Poon Hill - Early in the morning, we hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m) to witness the sunrise over the entire Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range, including Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna. Poon Hill is a popular spot for photography due to its stunning views. We will take as many photos as we like before returning to Ghorepani for breakfast. After breakfast, we will trek to Birethanti and then take a bus to Pokhara.

Pokhara - We will trek from Ghorepani to Birethanti and take a bus to Pokhara.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1300 m / 4265 ft)

Kathmandu - After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara and board a tourist bus to Kathmandu. Alternatively, you can opt for a 25-minute flight (not included in the package, costs extra).
