Scared and nervous ended up having the time of our lives. Thank you Ayoub - Amazing experience for fearful couple Who had never been on a horse before. My wife was extremely nervous. We took a cab to Jimmy Hendrix cafe and didn’t know what to expect. A few minutes later the leader of the place called our names and we followed him back behind and down a street to the horse farm. It was a bit chaotic as there are other farms and there are a lot of people and horses. My wife was getting even more nervous as we waited our turn. The tour leader was very kind to us and said don’t worry we will get you our best guide and best horse. A young man named Ayoub came and took over and helped us get helmets which we asked for. He got us two horses and helped us get on. My wife was so scared but Ayoub kept holding the horse and calmed her down. He was very patient and kind. As we made our way under the bridge we become a little more comfortable. Ayoub was telling us about his life and passion for horses. Eventually we made it to the beach and Ayoub took photos and videos that were absolutely incredible. He is extremely talented with photography. The sunset on the beach was like a postcard. Too beautiful to comprehend as it was happening. Ayoub took photos for us that will last a life time. Thank you so much Ayoub. His Instagram is Ayoub_horseman Highly recommend following him.

Ultimate ride - not for the faint hearted! - I arrived at the cafe a little nervous as being lone female. Within a minute I was escorted to the farm on a quad! There were other riding centres surrounding but you immediately knew that this place was excellent. I’ve never seen stallions so happy and well behaved. The dogs, goats and cows joined in too. Our guide was excellent and there was only two of us riding. I have never had such a fast, free gallop on the most amazing surroundings.

Bucket list - Beautiful opportunity! I was a little skeptical when the boy who met us and took us to a stable was from the wrong stable- but everything worked out and we had a lovely time.

Photo shoot - We booked a photoshoot the night before we went on the three day trek. Communication to book this was very easy, response time to any questions was very quick and helpful. On arrival to the stables please be aware of the walk from the main road, very steep hill to climb and descend the other side to reach the stables. Staff were friendly on arrival. We were paired up with our horses but no questions were asked about our ability or preferences/dislikes. Luckily we were all happy once we mounted and to be honest the horses are well behaved and no their job. Short 10 minute ride and your on the beach. We were asked what we wanted from the shoot but weren’t sure so left this up to them. We we’re probably out for an hour half maybe two hours before heading back. On the way back we were told the photos would be checked and edited that night, no explanation as to how we would access or receive these so we just assumed they would get emailed over….they didn’t! Luckily we were joining the three day trek the day after so was able to ask for them (please see trek review) Make sure you have contact details to arrange a taxi or similar back to your accommodation after, the street is quite remote and the bar was closed (maybe due to Ramadan) so we were literally stood in the middle of nowhere, 3km from our hotel. We managed to stop a local taxi passing by, who promised to go back for the other two girls we’d met. He didn’t and they were stood in the dark alone waiting until two local ladies stopped to check they were ok and kindly drove them back. All in all it was a good experience and I am glad we did it.

Rude, broken helmets, rubbish strewn - The ride was sold as an experience of 2 hours with their team making Instagram style videos and photos. What ended up being provided was one lead rider who had been with the company for a week and focused all of his attention on chatting up a pretty blond girl who was also on the trip. When my horse was reluctant to canter he handed me a stick and instructed me to hit/beat the horse which I refused to do. In terms of videos and photos what was actually provided was the lead rider using the American girls camera phone which she then emailed to me. The lead rider was rude, aggressive and unpleasant - not at all like the other Moroccan people we met one the trip which we found to be very warm and hospitable. At the stables there are thousands of flies everywhere, substantial piles of rubbish strewn around the stables and along the route to the beach so not very nice until you get to the actual beach which is clean. The riding hats are also filthy, broken and I couldn’t find one to fit so ended up wearing one which bobbed around. Had I of known the horse and route I would have been happy to go without so was disappointed that this basic safety item wasn’t provided. I would not recommend this company at all.
