experienced Vietnamese hospitality and culture - Had a great time with the group. As my first time visiting Asia, I didn't know how to use the chopsticks, and Yen, my tour guide, made sure I always had a fork. Yen is so energetic, always laughing and everyone had a god time while she was guiding us throughout the tour. I also had the chance to experience the Vietnamese hospitality: everyone welcomed me and made sure I was included in all activities, although some didn't speak English that well. They took my plate and served me everything and made sure I always had my plate full. I met young and elder people from which I learned a lot. The organization was top notch, everything was smooth and I did pretty much you can do: 2 pagoda visits, traditional music, playing with a python and feeding crocodiles, delicious food including a dinner Cruise in the beautiful Can Tho city, visit to the floating market, cruise in the delta's canals. I'm happy I got to see Vietnamese places and share the experience with Vietnamese people.

A must if you're spending time in Ho Chi Ming City - When we were searching for a tour of the Mekong Delta that included Can Tho and Cai Rang Floating Markets for February 2023, the only tour with user ratings was a round trip from and back to Ho Chi Ming City required us to leave at 3a and return by 9p the same day. After digging past the tours with ratings, we came across this tour, organized by SST but marketed by Tripadvisor and Viator. It had no ratings so we hesitated at first. The 2 day 1 night tour meant we actually had time to take in what we were going to see so we decided to take the risk. Our tour guide Dong was the best tour guide we've ever had in the 20+ years we've been traveling. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, very honest, very caring, very enthusiastic and serious about everyone having a good time. You can tell he really enjoys what he's doing and is very good at it. He made every effort for the 21 person group gel as a group. The 2 days 1 night was packed with lots of variety, the hotel and food was first class, and filled with laughter. This tour was the highlight of our time in the Ho Chi Ming City area. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to do more than eat.

Phenomenon! - This is the best trip ever. Charming scenery, friendly and hospitable people, along with the support of the tour guide helped me somewhat understand what life in the Mekong delta area is like. I would highly recommend the tour for my friends.

MEKONG 5 STARS REVIEW - I had a wonderful time, pleasant tour guides, friendships on the trip, and an unique consultant at SST Travel named Paige in SST Travel, she always took care, arranged everything carefully, supported me and my friend when we needed. The Mekong has the nicest view, welcoming locals, and delicious meals. I absolutely enjoy that, and I'll soon try another tour. I also heartily concur with the five-star rating. <3 <3 <3

Jam packed adventure - Communicated with Paige via WhatsApp for the booking process, very easy and smooth process. Tour guide was the charismatic and enthusiastic Hau who did a great job at wrangling the big group while also keeping an upbeat entertaining vibe. Pickup from hotel and return to the city were both timely, despite the national holiday traffic. Because it was the national holiday week (April 30 & May 1), my tour group was pretty big and had lots of domestic Vietnamese tourists, which meant that the outnumbered English-speaking foreigner tourists had a slightly different experience. Tour guide Hau translated to English after each explanation, but since I could understand both Vietnamese and English, I could tell that there's a bit of nuance lost. Not too much, but I would recommend a foreigner to book at a less busy time in a smaller group if you want a more individualized experience and chance to ask questions. The itinerary is pretty densely packed, you'll get to see a lot, but at an expedited pace (again, because of big group. probably different experience with a smaller group). A lot of it was demonstrations (such has how foods are made) and chance to support local businesses, which is all good and fine, except for the bamboo sales pitch. We were dropped off, put into a classroom and watched a multi-product demonstration by spokesperson for some 20-30 minutes, then released to the sales floor, which forced a long zigzag path through all the aisles to get to the exit. Felt cultish, total tourist bait, a huge turnoff. Knocks off a whole star from the rating because of such blatant advertising without even any engagement. Otherwise, the tour overall was cool, they handle all the transit and meals, there's lots of pretty scenery to see. My favorite was the little rowboat ride on the river, it was the most picturesque.

Two days of wasted time - don’t do this tour - Just don’t do this tour. We thought it would be a good idea to do the 2D1N tour to see the famous floating market but two hours in the tour, the only wish we had was to go home. The majority of the tour participants were vietnames, which is no problem at all. However, in a group of approx. 20 people and only in total 4 non-Vietnamese persons, the guide gave a s*** about us and did not take care of explaining anything to us in somewhat understandable English. The only facts that we got was how many people lived on this and that island so we did not learn anything about the region, it’s importance and the background of it. In the evening of the first day, I asked when we would start the morning as it is known that you have to visit the market super early. Well… having said that I caused an incensed tour guide that wanted to start at 7:30, so basically when everything at the market is already over. He was Finger pointing at me to explain in Vietnamese to the other participants that they now would have to wake up super early at 5 am in the morning so that we would be able to be there at the time that I suggested - not a very nice feeling :( he accused me wanting to end the tour earlier, but that was not at all the case. I just wanted to make sure to actually still see the market and their vendors when there is the busy time in the early morning. Well, the next day we got to see the market - which is by far not that exciting as you may imagine it or have seen it in pictures - and continued the tour which included the visit in an amusement park. Right in the beginning, the tour guide again told us that “the foreigners”, as he used to call us, should better wait at the entrance and wait for 2 hours because we would do better not watching what is happening in the amusement park. As we are still paying the tour and therefore also somehow support all these activities, we wanted to know what the thing was that we should better not see. First, it was pig and then a dog race, which we would have never ever supported knowing that it is part of the tour. But the most horrible thing was the monkey show afterwards, where the tamer had monkeys on super short leashes, dressing them up ridiculously and making them so things that were horrible to wach. We left this show earlier because we could not stand it. We were super happy when we got back yo HCMC and unfortunately do still not know anything about the Mekong delta :( PS: food was also not very good….
