A taste of Southern Vietnamese cuisine - This tour gave you a good snapshot of Southern Vietnamese cuisine. Street food tells you do much about a place, but it can be daunting to know what is good and where's safe. There were a number of dishes on this tour that I'd tried in the North or Central regions and wouldn't have tried again if not for this tour because I thought I knew what they'd be like - especially the banh xeo which I think is way better in the South. Tony is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful guide.

Amazing street food tour with so much tasty food, and with an amazing guide! - If you are in Ho Chi Minh City, you must do this tour. It is outstanding. Our host, Tony, was an absolute gem. His communication throughout the process (before and during) was amazing, and he was really considerate of allergies etc. He is also super cool, and was really interesting to talk to! Tony took us to try five different foods, all in places that are "off the beaten (tourist) track" and you wouldn't necessarily think to go to as a visitor. All of the food was so delicious, with amazing and fresh flavours. First off, we stopped for some traditional stuffed pancakes in both central and southern style. These were so good, especially with all the herbs and leaves that it is served with! Then we went for the nicest bahn mi baguette from a really unassuming stall on a street corner. This was a beef bahn mi, which is more traditional in the south. It was DELICIOUS. Amazing flavours and a great balance of sweet, sour, umami. Next stop was some steamed rice paper rolls stuffed with pork and mushroom and served with three different Vietnamese sausages. This was so good that I forgot to take a photo. I especially enjoyed the fermented sausage, the flavour profile changed as I ate it! We stopped off for a beef noodle soup, different to a pho. The broth was so good! Not too spicy but so full of flavours. I was getting quite full by this point...! Finally we stopped off for coconut and avocado ice cream topped with peanuts and coconut chips. These flavours might seem odd but they worked really well together. A lovely and refreshing end to our evening. We had an absolutely brilliant time on this tour, and I give it my strongest recommendation if you are visiting!

Best tour, exceptional food and knowledgeable host. - Exceptional food tour with Tony, who was the most loveliest guide and host. He was so attentive, picking us up from our hotel. His tailor-made tour had many different stops, and we were all extremely full by the end of it. Tony is super knowledgeable, and it was a lovely way to get to know old Saigon and to talk about Vietnamese food and culture. An experience like no other.

Tasty Local Treats - Tony is a total dude. Great to be shown the best local flavours from an expert guide. Really night walk to see the sights of District 3. Good value too. I’d recommend doing this on your first night in Saigon.

A unique and thoroughly enjoyable evening! - I really enjoyed this evening sampling different street foods around HCMC with Tony. He is very well-informed and has curated an excellent selection of food and drink from his personal experiences as someone who clearly knows the city well. We visited a variety of stalls that I would not have known existed without Tony’s local knowledge, including the best Bánh Mì of my trip so far. His English is excellent and he also kindly arranged a cab from my hotel to and from the tour area. I felt safe and comfortable throughout. I would highly recommend his tour to everyone and wish him all the best!
