SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS – CAI BE - VINH LONG (Lunch, Dinner)
Cu Chi Tunnels - 7:30 AM: Hotel pick-up.
The Cu Chi tunnels are the starting point for those interested in learning about Vietnam’s strategic hamlet and tunnel system, which spans over 220 km. We will watch a short documentary video from 1967 to gain insight into this historical site.
We will crawl through the tiny passageways to understand the tactics used by the guerilla fighters, see a variety of deadly traps, and taste tapioca with salted sesame seeds in the Hoang Cam kitchen system. It’s difficult to imagine the devastation caused by bombing and mines when Cu Chi was designated as “A Free Target Zone.”
We will also visit the shooting range (bullet exclusion).
After visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels, we will head to the Mekong Delta (Cai Be) and stop for lunch at the Mekong Restop.
The day will end with an overnight stay at a homestay in Cai Be.
CAI BE - CHOCOLATE - SAIGON (Breakfast, Lunch)
Cai Be Floating Market - - Enjoy breakfast at the homestay.
- Take a boat to the local village to witness how residents make traditional products such as Pop rice cakes, Rice wine, Rice papers, and Coconut sweet candies.

Ride a small sampan boat through fruit orchards, apple mangrove trees, and water coconut leaves. Enjoy tropical fruits, listen to traditional folk songs performed by local artists, and taste honey tea.
Participate in a cooking class and have lunch at a local thatched restaurant. You will enjoy delicious fresh Mekong spring rolls, deep-fried Giant Elephant Ear Fish, and fresh fruits. - Engage in activities such as taking a nap on a handcrafted hammock, kayaking, or pedaling a bike around the village.
