Highlights
  • Ho Chi Minh City - We are so excited to have you join us on this adventure! We will start our day by picking you up at 8:00 AM from your hotel and then hopping on the traditional Binh Khanh Ferry. During our journey, we’ll pass through the SAC forest, a route surrounded by aquaculture, residential areas, and mangrove trees. This road, completed in 2011, features eight bridges capable of carrying 30 tons and was historically used by the American forces for transporting weapons, materials, and food.
  • Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve - Next, we’ll board a canoe for a breathtaking view of the Mangrove Biosphere Reserve’s background. After that, we’ll visit the Bat Sanctuary and take a small sampan in the mangrove peninsula to see the bat habitat, a stunning natural landscape. You’ll even get to join the “Catching Crabs” game for a truly immersive experience.

Then, we’ll make a stop at Vam Sat eco-tourism to enjoy several activities:

  • We’ll walk to the Bird Sanctuary, bustling with thousands of bird species covering the sky.
  • After that, we’ll climb up to the highest Tang Bong Tower, 26 meters high, to admire the beautiful panorama around the Soai Rap River in the Mangrove Biosphere Reserve.
Lunch will be served at a Restaurant.
  • Hang Duong Market - Our journey will conclude at Dan Xay Station, our starting point. On our way back, we’ll indulge in a special dessert (Nipa Fruits) and visit the Flea Seafood Market Hang Duong.

Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel to wrap up the tour.

Remember to bring mosquito repellent, swimming suits, and any cash you may need for a fantastic day ahead!

Exciting and stunning views. - The tour is very interesting with a lot of amazing sights and things to do. Our guide was very friendly and helpfull, and if you have dietary restrictions / wishes he will call ahead and inform the restaurant for lunch. But be advised when they warn you to look after your glasses because of the monkeys what they mean is that you should put them away or they will be gone because the monkeys are way too fast. But this was of course our own fault and we got them back :)

Beautiful experience, a lot to see and to learn - Beautiful experience: everyone should come here to see animals in their habitat and learn the importante of these ecosystems. The guide was very nice and prepared, the tour dense and super interesting. Recommended for everyone, especially for kids. Come to meet monkeys, birds, crabs and crocodiles, and have a rest from the city!

Nature at its best! - A world away from the hustling Saigon City, we had the most surreal experience on this tour! Linda was an amazing host and we got to see wild animals in their own habitats. I highly recommend families with children to do this tour!

The best day trip from Ho Chi Min City! - If you are looking to get out of the city for a day trip then this is the one to put on the to do list. We were in safe hands with Linda to guide us through the Mangroves. From taking breath taking photos on top of the bird sanctuary tower to riding a boat along side the mangroves in the river. Oh who can forgot feeding the (aggressive) monkeys and crocodiles! Thank you Linda for the great day!

A beautiful day away from the crowd - We spent a wonderful day together with Linda, our guide. We loved the mangroves, the time on boat and the vast forest around us. Trees and waters for a day. Beautiful. The crocodiles and the monkeys are an attraction for the kids mostly. For an adult is a bit awkward to know that is actually a crocodile farm. The bonus was a delicious lunch and the fresh seafood tasted in the local market. Thank you Linda.

A nice half-day trip from HCMC but not great value for money - We took this day trip as the last trip of our 3-week stay in Vietnam. Although we booked the "small group", we were the only two people so essentially we had a private tour. Our guide, Tri, was nice and spoke good English. The trip took 7 hours start to finish, of which 3 were spent on the way to/from the island. The mangrove forests are magnificent to see and the boat trip was the highlight of this trip. Everything else was a bit underwhelming. This was actually by far the most expensive trip of our stay in Vietnam and not great value for money compared to our other trips in Vietnam (Mekong, Phu Quoc, Halong Bay, Hue,...). For this reason, I would not have chosen this trip again and would not recommend it to friends.
