Highlights
  • Sky View Doha - A best place to take photos of Doha skyline

  • National Museum of Qatar - The National Museum of Qatar is a national museum in Doha, Qatar. The current building opened to the public on 28 March 2019, replacing the previous building which opened in 1975. The building was designed by architect Jean Nouvel who was inspired by the desert rose crystal, which can be found in Qatar. The museum site includes Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani’s Palace, which is the heart of the Qatari national identity.
A tour of the museum takes visitors through a loop of galleries that address three major, interrelated themes. The galleries are loosely arranged in chronological order, beginning with exhibitions on the natural history of the desert and the Persian Gulf, artefacts from Bedouin culture, historical exhibitions on the tribal wars, the establishment of the Qatari state, and finally the discovery of oil to the present. The displays and installations that explore these themes present audiovisual displays with carefully selected treasures from the museum’s collections.

  • Katara Cultural Village - Is the largest and the most multi-dimensional cultural project of Qatar. It is a place where people come together to experience the cultures of the world. With beautiful theatres, concert halls, exhibition galleries and cutting-edge facilities, Katara aims to become a world leader for multi-cultural activities.

  • The Pearl Island - The Pearl-Qatar is an artificial island spanning nearly four square kilometers. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals.
The name “The Pearl” was chosen because the island is being built on one of Qatar’s previous major pearl diving sites. Qatar was one of the major pearl traders of Asia before the Japanese introduced cheaper more affordable pearls just before Qatar’s oil boom. The Pearl-Qatar helps to represent Qatar’s rich past in the pearl industry. The Pearl is said to resemble a string of pearls.

  • Souq Waqif - Souq Waqif (Arabic: سوق واقف) is a marketplace (souq) in Doha, in the state of Qatar. The souq sells traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is also home to restaurants and shisha lounges. The original building dates back to the late 19th to early 20th centuries in a traditional Qatari architectural style. Luckily, in 2004, it was decided to preserve this historical site so the entire market area has been renovated and restored according to the traditional Qatari architectural techniques. It’s probably the only traditional souq left in the Gulf.

  • The Corniche - The Doha Corniche is a waterfront promenade extending for seven kilometres along Doha Bay in Qatar’s capital city, Doha. Annual celebrations of national holidays such as Qatar National Day and National Sports Day are centered on the Doha Corniche. It is a popular tourist and leisure attraction within Qatar.

Amazing Doha. - Despite the heat, and that it was a Friday, we all enjoyed our tour of the city. Our stopover in Doha was a short one and we appreciated that our guide, Waleed, was knowledgeable and very helpful when showing us around this beautiful city. The car was very comfortable for the four of us.

Private tour is the best idea to spend a layover - I want to say a huge thanks for Amir for this 4 hours city tour. I was in Doha along and it was so nice to spend time with such a friendly person who answered on all my questions and showed (I guess) all the sights in a city. And also he made a lot of beautiful photos for me. Highly recommend!!!

Great guide! Good experience - We had a layover in Doha and chose to do a city tour. We were assigned with Amir. He was such a polite and helpful guide. He showed us every corner of the city, took our photos and was courteous. Unfortunately we had booked the tour on a Friday morning when everything is closed and it was scorching hot. Preferable to do the tour in the evening hours. The guide will contact you a day prior, do get in touch with the company or the guide over WhatsApp to discuss the best possible plan of action.

Great stopover sight seeing! - Waleed is an awesome tour guide and professional driver. He gave us the best tour I’ve ever had in Qatar. We enjoyed every view there. From west bay area to the Pearl, local market place to two gorgeous museums. Even the time was very short, but leaving us great memories. Thank you!

Poo Service and Company. - Landed at Doha at 07:00am. Booked the tour for 09:00am to kill the 14hr layover. The tour guide didn’t show and the provided phone number was off. Managed to speak with a representative from the Philippines at 10:00am who is trying to get me a refund of $215 AUD. Bearing in mind the international roaming charge trying to get hold of the driver / company probably exceeds the amount. Do not recommend- go to the information desk at the airport and arrange one on the spot for hand the price - not with viatour.
