Richard Serra’s The Artist, created for Qatar by renowned American artist Richard Serra’s, is called “East-West / West-East,” and is located some 60km outside of Doha at the Brouq Nature Reserve near Zekreet. The massive flat span 1km from the area, and “is set in a natural corridor shaped by gypsum plateaus,”

Worth the trip if you’re interested in unique art set in unusual landscapes, sculptor Richard Serra’s installation within the Brouq Nature Reserve comprises four steel plates, each more than 14m tall, spread out over a kilometre of the desolate western Qatari desert. You may even spot an ostrich or gazelle in the surrounding desert reserve. The 1.5-hour drive west of Doha includes a bit of off-roading. Visit to the Filming City and Mushroom Rock

Jael from Vietnam - Mohammud is a tour guide for me. I love the heritage making me more understanding about pearl production manually. Also the beauty of purple island blows my head. And Mohammud is a good photographer - 100%. This is to try on!

Historical and geographical tour in Qatar - Mr. Mohammed guided us to Zubara Fort, Zubarah Port village, Shadow Travelling on the sea of the Day, and Purple Island. Especially, the historical places were so interes. Also, his driving skill was very good and his character was so honest. We could travel safely and have a good memory.

Desert Inland Sculpture Tour - Mohammed was our Tour Guide for this private tour to the inland Sculptures. Very friendly and professional tour guide who is also fairly proficient in English too. Would recommend this experience to anyone who is interested to see the desert sculptures

Nice ride on the west coast - I booked the Zekreet tour with my family. Our driver, Mohammed, was punctual, good at driving and satisfied our every curiosity. We visited Richard Serra's installations, which are worth the trip and Mohammed was also an excellent photographer!

So-so - Somewhat interesting but not worth the $165 I paid to go solo for 3 hours to see 4 flat steel pillars in the middle of a desert.
