Doha - We recently embarked on a captivating trip to the north of Qatar with our tour guide, Junaid, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Junaid's extensive knowledge of the region and engaging storytelling brought the history and culture of Qatar to life. From exploring the picturesque Al Zubarah Fort to experiencing the serene mangroves at Al Thakira, each stop was a delight. Junaid's attentiveness and enthusiasm made the journey both informative and fun. This tour exceeded our expectations and left us with cherished memories. Highly recommended!

Northern Qatar - I enjoyed this tour as I had wanted an opportunity to visit the AL Thakira Mangroves. There was a walkway over the Mangroves, where fish, crabs, and various birds could be viewed. It was low tide when I visited, but it was nice to see this unique ecosystem. Al Zubarah fort was also interesting as it is a UNESCO site. I enjoyed learning more about pearling and exploring the fort. Junaid was an engaging guide who provided a lot of information about Qatar as we drove. The drive itself was enjoyable and a nice opportunity to see what Qatar looks like beyond Doha. The vehicle was comfortable and I was provided as much water as I needed. There were also plenty of restroom opportunities. Overall, I enjoyed this tour.

Beach Clean Up At Al Zubara Fort beach - 5/5 1. Nice architectural structure. 2. Parking available 3. Amenities such as toilets available near the parking area 4. Bulletin boards and other details available inside to know more about the place and its history. 5. Good place to do team building such as what we did. We assembled in front of Al Zubara Fort then we go to the nearby beach for the beach clean up.

Interesting to see this part of Qatar - This was a very interesting part of Qatar and I was glad to see some of the history of the area and to experience a different part of the country. The fort was very impressive and the interpretive boards there were very informative. We visited the National Museum of Qatar the following day and found that much of the tour provided good context for the museums displays. The guide was a little disappointing. While he was polite and efficient, he would more accurately been referred to as a 'driver'. He provided only minimal and superficial information about each area. I would have liked to have heard more about Qatar and its people generally. It was a long drive to sit in silence when all these interesting things were passing us by outside the car.

Maybe a good trip for the cooler months - This is probably a good tour to do in the cooler months. The mangroves on Purple Island were nearly dry and not much to see. The Al Zubara Fort provided interesting information about the history of Qatar. For the cost of the tour I expect a bit more. The tour guide was knowledgeable but never actually introduced himself so I don't know his name.
