Fabulous tour with Bilal - Fun time in the dessert! Our wonderful driver, Bilal, picked us right in time and we headed out to the dessert. He told us about various things we were passing by and we appreciated the information on this new-to-us city! We stopped first for our camel ride. This was something I wanted to do and my husband played along. I read some reviews where people thought it wasn’t worthwhile but I have to disagree. We had a 10-15 minute ride over to the nearby dunes and got lots of photos. Trust me , this was long enough! I can’t imagine riding it for an hour as it’s not the most comfortable “seat”! Next we did the dune bashing. Bilal has been doing this since he was a kid and admitted it was his favorite part if his job. I did my best not to scream but come on, you totally expect that the vehicle is going to roll over at any moment, so I had to scream (but always with a huge smile on my face). And amazingly, the vehicle doesn’t fall off the dunes. Bilal is a great driver and made sure we were having fun. He then took us to the beach where we were able to dip our toes in the Persian Gulf. What an incredible experience! I highly recommend Bilal for a dessert tour. You’ll have a lot of fun!
