Excursion with Samuele - What can I say... we decided to do one of the most recommended excursions to visit the island of Saona. We stayed in Viva Domenicus Palace through the Bravo group (alpi tour) we left in the morning to reach our destination, we were lucky enough to be looked after by Samuele, a SPECTACULAR person, very nice, very kind but above all available for anything. During the journey he provided us with a lot of information about the islands, the people, the Dominican culture. I must say that we have never had so much fun, it was the most beautiful excursion we have ever done. Obviously I recommend you do it, but above all do it with Samuele who will become a thousand times more beautiful. Great Samuel 💪🏼💪🏼

Saona Island - We went on a Saturday and it was quite full of boats/people. The trip was by speedboat and the return by Catamaran. In itself, the ride is very fast…. 30 minutes by speedboat, 30 minutes in the natural pools, 2:20 hours on Saona Island and 1:40 hours back by Catamaran. Since there are so many people who visit, I think that's why everything is very fast. Lunch on the island is tasty but simple… water, coke and rum are available at all times.

The water was beautiful - I Enjoyed the boat ride to Seona, the tour guide Tio Rocky, he gave us time to explore, swim & explain areas we were in & going through.. I would do this excursion again.

Awesome Island Adventure - From pickup to arrival on the island, the experience was great. "Cibao" provided fast shuttle service to the drop point and from there we were assigned "El Flaco" to guide us from the boat to the island and back. He gave us helpful information and took special care of us. He was also our photographer and even took a video of us with his drone. Very fair pricing for the photos and we had an excellent time. We were served an endless amount of rum and Coca-Cola on the way to the island and the island was beautiful and the food was very good. The crystal-clear water and the ambience on the island was awesome and pictures don't come close to capturing this.

Beautiful trip - The Caribbean as seen on a postcard. Soana, an island located in a natural park, disabled, much visited by tourists. It's worth a visit.

Great Day at Isla Saona - Loved the sand bar stop with rum, the great BBQ chicken lunch w drinks, and the catamaran trip back but not the speed boat ride out and the boat to boat transfers. I'm 61 and don't have a mobility problem but boat to boat transferes weren't disclosed until were on the water. Angelo did a great job herding us cats except the Chilean dude who didn't get the memo.

Saona island is boring, overcrowded, and overrated - If you've never been to a sandy Caribbean island before, perhaps, you'll enjoy the trip. However, if you've seen sandy beaches in the Caribbean before, the trip will be a total disappointment. The most exciting part of the trip was the crew that serviced the trip. Otherwise, Saona island itself is boring, overcrowded, and overrated--not beautiful at all, and the water has nothing to do with the crystal clear water you see on the pictures. BTW, expect to spend about 2 hours tops on the island; the rest of the time is travel time. I wouldn't recommend the trip--you'll be better off spending the day in your all-inclusive resort.
