Dorset - Beautiful and interesting drive through the Dorset hills on route to Stonehenge. Sit back and relax as your guide will tell some interesting stories and likely make you smile and laugh as well.
You’ll be driven in a stunning and fun Land Rover Defender, kitted out with top of the range leather seats, air conditioning and panoramic glass upgrades for your viewing pleasure.
Why sit in a crowded coach, when you can travel in style! - Stonehenge - We will visit this Historic 4,500 year monument, getting close to these iconic stones capturing some great photos and memories. We will also explore the amazing and interesting Visitor’s Center.
- Wheatsheaf Pub & Restaurant, Salisbury - Charming and friendly English country pub. The perfect place for lunch. Cosy up under the oak beams of this former 17th Century farmhouse or find a spot in the sunshine in the beautiful pub garden. Your guide will book a table in advance. Cost of lunch to be met by travelers.
- Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta - We take a fascinating tour of the ancient and fabulous Salisbury Cathedral, plus see the 800 year old Magna Carta, a royal charter of rights often considered the earliest document of Human Rights in the world.
- Corfe Castle - We will explore the hills around the beautiful Corfe Castle, with time to visit the quirky village shops and 12th century church.

Isle of Purbeck - The 4x4 Safari will head out exploring the Jurassic Coast and the best the Isle of Purbeck has to offer in our amazing Land Rover Defender.
We will head Off Road, travelling along centuries old dirt track byways and permitted landowners farm tracks. This amazing safari heads high above Corfe Castle, then on to Heaven’s Gate with the most spectacular views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland to the West, then through the Lulworth Ranges, lost village of Tyneham and the famous Durdle Door, before we head back to your drop off point.
We will stop a few times for photos and refreshments, plus of course Helen’s famous homemade cakes!
This wonderful 4x4 aspect of the journey heads nicely back towards port. -
Sherborne Abbey - Explore and have a guided tour around the Saxon 1,300 year old abbey. Time to explore this beautiful town.

10/10 Must do Safari Tour! - Awesome day from start to finish!
Couldn’t have hoped for a better guide, Mark was interesting, funny and great company.
Sherborne was simply incredible little old town, with its ancient abbey and two castles, home to Sir Walter Raleigh no less!
Stonehenge was breathtaking and so good with an experienced guide taking you around the stones!
The Land Rover was better than we expected, with really comfortable seats. Mark’s driving was fun also, as we headed off road a little too on the way back from Stonehenge!
10/10. Must do safari tour!

Easy 5 Stars for this Amazing Day Out - Definitely a VIP tour, as Mark looked after us so well! He picked us up from Portland and kept us entertained as we drove to Stonehenge, somewhere we had always wanted to visit. It didn’t disappoint and we all loved learning about the history.
Mark then took us to this charming English pub for lunch and we enjoyed finding out more about Mark and the local area. He loves a good story!
Then we headed to Salisbury and visited the cathedral and the Magna Carta. Such great history, we took plenty of photos.
Finally, we drove to the Isle of Purbeck and headed off road for an amazing 4x4 experience. Mark is such a good driver and despite some challenging hills, it was controlled, safe and surprisingly comfortable. The views at the top of the Dorset Hills were incredible!!
Mark’s Land Rover is very comfortable with 6 leather seats. There was 6 of us and we loved it. Though warning if you’ve got too many generous sizes in your group, as his truck is a Land Rover after all. Probably could get away with two or three plus sizes in your group, but otherwise better off booking for just 4-5 people.
Easy 5 stars for this amazing day out.
