Highlights
  • Old Market Square (Altmarkt) - The tour begins by picking you up at your Dresden hotel, Airbnb or elsewhere in Dresden. Our comfortable vehicle will then transport you to the German part of the National Park. The snacks and beverages along the way in combination with an informative description of the passing landmarks will make the journey over in no time.
  • Bastei Bridge - Our first destination is the magnificent Bastei Bridge (Saxon Switzerland, Germany). The breathtaking view of the Elbe River Canyon, high above which the Bridge perches, will be engrained into your memory forever. Watching the sunrise above the unique sandstone pinnacles is a priceless experience.
  • Neurathen Castle - The easy scenic walk across the Bastei Bridge is finished by an excursion of the medieval castle ruins of Felsenburg Neurathen (13th cen.), located at the other end of the Bastei Bridge.
  • Decinsky Sneznik (Hoher Schneeberg) - The following jurney takes us over the border to the Bohemian (Czech) part of the National Park. First we will visit Sneznik- lookout from 19. century. The views will be spectacular. In good weather you will be able to see all surrooundings including Dresden and the Bohemian Saxon Switzerland national park. In summer you will have the option instead of walking take the scooter for the way down the hill (fee not included since not always available).landscape.
  • Tisá - Before exploring the Tyssa sandstone labyrinth, a rich lunch in the local-cousine style will be served to you (vegeterian options available), including a drink of your choice.
  • Tiske steny - Finally, the Chronicles of Narnia filming site will be visited - the Tyssa Walls. While famous among rock-climbers and locals, this place remains relatively unknown to the international public, in spite of the Narnia movie having been filmed there. You will surely appreciate the lack of crowds, so typical of the historical European cities or the other natural monuments. The fantasy atmosphere of the labyrinth as well as the upper platform view will make this your own personal Narnia experience.

The tour will end by dropping you off in Dresden at your accommodation or elsewhere in the city.

A diversion from Museums and churches - We took this trip to get away from the museums and churches. This is a nature and part historical trip. We started in the morning around 8:30 AM and the trip was full day returning around 6:00 PM. The trip took us to the natural park spread over Germany and Czech republic. We had a small group of eight people. Our first stop was on the Germany side of the park. It was a hike with several viewing stops. The view is awesome. Then we drove to the Czech side and took a 2 KM hike each way. Once again the view was awesome although the trees were burnt because of a forest fire two years back. Then we stopped for lunch. The lunch was very good. The Snitzel with Potato that I took was great. The ice cream and the lemoinade was very good. The last part of the trip included another 2 KM hike and a boat ride then hike back to the vehicle and drive back to Dresden.. The driver and our guide Dalibora were great.

A good diversion from musuems and churches - The tour exceeded my expectations. It was a good break from the history and cultural tours of Europe. It was partly historical, mainly nature and little bit of hiking. The driver and tour guide Dalibora were excellent. They were always on time, worked with the group and never rushed us. They were very caring and knowledgable. Our tour group was small (eight people) and was the right size. The included lunch was awesome. The views were breath taking.

Would recommend as it was fun, beautiful, and informative. - The tour guides were very friendly and informative about the area. The food provided was great and they had plenty of refreshments for the hiking parts. The area was beautiful and the group was small which made it easy to listen to the history and fun facts provided by the guides. Overall, I would recommend doing this if you are in the area.

Excellent getaway from the city - This was wonderful! My wife & I had a private bus from our hotel in Dresden to our meet up point with the others in our group who arrived from Prague. Our driver was awesome! There were 8 of us in the group. Our guide we enthusiastic and informative the entire day. Went to 3 different parts of the park, had a delicious lunch and plenty of spots for taking incredible photos. It was a great trip, worth every penny

This trip is must! - We had an amazing day with our tour guide Dalibora and driver Vclav touring Saxon Switzerland National Park and surrounding. We were in awe of nature. Beautiful landscapes and interesting rock formations. They picked us up from our Airbnb in Dresden. They provided with us water bottles and snacks through out the day. Lunch was included. And it was tasty Czech cuisine. Dalibora took time to explain and answer any questions we had along the way. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Dresden.

Blown Away. RECOMMEND IT 100% - Love it. Love it. Love it or should I say loved it. The trip is carefully planned, giving an individual enough time to soak in, rest , enjoy every moment. This trip is a Must experience. We had wonderful Paul who picked us up in the morning, and we truly for the first time felt like and also indeed called him as family by the end . A connection like this is rare and hope reapers can read and understand how they make you feel. Joseph was a well read guide, sharing all necessary details and beyond. He had an answer to all our inquisitive questions. Bastei Bridge. The walk in the Czech side, marveling at the stone formations and the Lunch. Oh My everything gets a 5***** . And it is isn’t easy to get a 5 from a blogger like me . Paul even went ahead n surprised us with something as we were marking our wedding anniversary. Loved it. Do not thing twice and book with them. They are the BEST
