Highlights
 • Dubrovnik - Depart from the heart of Dubrovnik during the early hours, journeying in a high-end, climate-controlled vehicle towards Split, located approximately three hours to the north. Enjoy the journey in comfort, taking in the stunning coastal vistas while engaging in conversation with your guide about the destinations you’re eager to explore. The schedule is adaptable, and your personal chauffeur is more than willing to customize it based on your preferences.
 • Split - The premier attraction of this seaside city is the Diocletian Palace, a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site that almost engulfs the city. Initially constructed as a lavish residence for Emperor Diocletian, the palace evolved into a standalone urban center as additional structures were incorporated over time.

Wander through the Peristyle Square located within the palace’s confines, take in landmarks such as the Cathedral of St Duje and its impressive bell tower.

Make a point to touch the toe of the Gregory of Nin Statue for good fortune, and then meander to Republic Square (Prokurative), a plaza reminiscent of the Mediterranean, bordered by grand Neo-Renaissance edifices. Learn about the various musical and cultural festivities that are held in this space, and then make a stop at Mestrovic Gallery, which celebrates the creations of the renowned Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.

As the afternoon wanes, make your way back to your transport and head southward to Dubrovnik. The excursion concludes where it began in the early evening.

A wonderful day trip to Split - Our family of 4, with 2 teenage sons, very much enjoyed our day trip to Split from Dubrovnik. Our driver and guide, Ivan, was extremely knowledgable about the history, geography, cultural background of Croatia and we learned so much. We became so interested in the area as a result of our conversations with him that we ended up continuing our research after our trip. He made stops on the way back from Split that matched our preferences and we were able to make the most of our day. Truly an expert guide. The van was new and comfortable. We highly recommend this tour.

Great day trip from Dubrovnik - Our driver Ivan was great and gave a good history on our drive. We were able to pick the amount of time we could use to explore the city and Ivan had plenty of suggestions on what to see. Very enjoyable day.

Alex was our driver and our guide... -
Alex was our driver and our guide for the Private Tour:Split Day trip from Dubrovnik for a party of four two couples for an all day round trip from Dubrovnik to Split on Tuesday September 26, 2017

We highly recommend the drive for its scenery and spectacular panoramas, and can't imagine any driver that we would rather have take us than Alex. He was professional, friendly, and courteous. He has an excellent command of English, and deep knowledge of Croatia and the countryside through which we toured. His commentary on the locations and the context he gave us for Croatia were first rate. Given the length of the drive we also appreciated his choice of music - first rate.

We could trust him with our safety and I am a stickler on this in full confidence though conditions that place high demands on a driver - in our case, his day started when he picked us up in Dubrovnik at 8am, continued through our touring of Split in the later morning and afternoon, and then to a winery tour he recommended the winery and it was first rate and our evening dinner in Ston, finally ending a long day by returning us to our rental apartment in Dubrovnik at 9:15pm.

Safe, professional, courteous, friendly -- what more do you want in a driver? Which is why we rate him at the top, 5 out of 5.

It was a very well-paced trip that... -
It was a very well-paced trip that mixed a sufficient introduction to Split with free time to explore. Robert was an excellent driver and guide and Tanya provided an informative overview of the town. Our only suggestion would be to advise travelers in advance that they need to take their passports rather than depending on the driver to do it on pick up. An excellent tour from Dubrovnik if you are not going to stay in Split.

We enjoyed this trip. Good driver... -
We enjoyed this trip. Good driver and good guide. We especially liked the actual drive from Dubrovnik to Split - great chance to see the Croatian riviera. Only negative thing - we didn't know that we should have had our passports with us as we had to pass through Bosnia-Herzagovinia but our driver sorted everything out for us.
