Great experience - Great experience. Pick up was really easy, they came to the cruise ship. Information provided during the tour was excellent and really interesting. Saw what was described. Would have liked to see more sea lions but we did see 2. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Highly recommended - A brilliant tour with a very knowledgable, informative guide. Thank-you Chris. Great communication before the tour and we arranged to be picked-up in Dunedin and dropped off at the cruise ship in Port Chalmers. In a short time we managed to sample just some of the many wonders of this beautiful place, thanks again.

Get a great sampling of Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula on this fun Back to Nature Tour. - The tour guide, Chris, was informative, knowledgeable, energetic, considerate, and provided an outstanding tour. There were many sights to see sprinkled with info of some of the culture of the area. A highlight was the walk to the beach and encountering a sea lion bull. We saw a female sea lion with a pup, but from a distance. We concluded the tour with a stop at the steepest road in the world, as noted in Guinness World Book of Records.

Sea Lions on the beach. - Chris picked us up from the ship in a minivan. Just the right number of people to do a small group excursion around Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula. We visited the old station, admired the buildings and wondered at the beautiful stained-glass windows and mosaic decorations on the floor. We saw beautiful old buildings and marveled at the steepest street in the world. We then travelled out of the city to look at farmland and enjoy views of the Otago Peninsula. Chris kept us entertained with his very knowledgeable commentary as we travelled. We looked forward to a walk on a beach and were not disappointed. We looked for sea-lions and saw a couple of mothers with pups in the distance. On the path to the beach, we were surprised to see a huge male sea lion snoozing in the middle of the walkway. He blocked the entire path and was fast asleep. We quietly climbed onto the grass bank and tip-toed past him, hoping he would not wake up. We were lucky to see a sea lion at such close quarters! On the beach we saw a couple more big sea lions and a youngster settling into a sheltered spot for a nap. Chris was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Beautiful scenery and cool sea lions - This was a great tour. We enjoyed seeing the sea lions in their native habitat, and the drive through the countryside was beautiful. The beach where we saw the sea lions was deserted except for us and that was nice. We had a good guide. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the visit to the "steepest street in the world" and the iconic train station were rushed. The view of Baldwin St was from more than a block away and we were very strictly warned that there was NOT time to actually go there. Photos of the homes on this street look cool and I would have liked to have seen it; one reason I booked this tour. It shouldn't be hard to add 10-15 minutes more to the tour and do this, since it is listed as an attraction. Otherwise a beautiful day and scenic drive.
