Mr k - I understand the poor reviews, essentially these people are used to as are we small zoo’s without walking. Apologies french etc but we have been many times to your zoos and I can firmly assure you this one is more vast but better in contrast. So, the zoo, more like fields of animals that have plentiful when it comes to habitat therefore yes, sparse , so you have to walk.....sorry humans but yes ....walk. Ok , so the zoo is that sparse with plenty to see but you need all day, doesn’t this make it good value too...sorry sinacle side of me. The whole place was amazing from Start to finish, the food , sandwich yes was a bit toppy but yet again guys, pay less get sh..t......so why again compliance, the food here is very good from a local tv chef , well done on creating a decent menu with again nice food, we ourselves are happy to pay higher prices for higher quality rather than cheap and crap sorry others. Anyway we will be back , wonderful place , but more expensive on food for better quality, want cheap and no walking go somewhere else...sorry !

Good expirience - Everithing was ok, Lots of free spaces at free car park. They accepted online bought tickets. The zoo is too big for one day trip.

Wonderful day out - Had a lovely day out at whipsnade zoo. Would definitely recommend parking outside of the zoo and walking around. Entry fee was really reasonably priced. Would recommend pre purchasing online beforehand. Loved seeing all the animals with my highlights being the elephants, rhinos and penguins. All exhibits look really fab for the animals but as a visitor does mean that you can’t always see all the animals if they are hiding. Lots of places to eat too with a great selection of reasonably priced food. Shame about the power it which meant I was unable to get my souvenirs in the gift shop as I only had card. Would definitely recommend!

Family outing - We had tickets from a work based day out and so took the kids and grandparents along. My mother hadn’t been there since she was in her early 20’s so was interesting to see how she remembered it. The zoo is very big and has lots of varied animals which were great to be seen in the flesh. There is a shuffle bus that is available to take you around the zoo if required. Prices inside are a little steep and some attractions could really do with some tlc but well worth going if only for the experience of a big zoo.

Does London not have better administrators for its 2 Zoos? - The administration of the London zoo is appalling. They say they are under pressure due to Covid-19 but their FAQs are totally inadequate. Trying to telephone for information is virtually impracticable. I am a Gold member but was told the call would be answered "within an hour". I was seeking basic information on the indoor play area at Whipsnade for my grandchildren. Having learned that this could only be booked 24 hours in advance - but no indication of when booking for the following day opened - I started trying to book online from about 8.30am. The first anomaly was that the screen invited me to choose a date; why when you can only book for the next day? Not surprisingly, there was no calendar provided. And to make matters worse, the screen said it was fully booked for the day. So had booking not yet opened for the following day? Had the zoo accepted a block booking that meant attempts to book were futile?| I have encouraged my family to join and paid the very high cost of several memberships. The 2 zoos (Whipsnade and London) are not in my opinion as good as Chester or my childhood memory of Edinburgh. However, they are our local zoos and for the capital city should be providing at the very least better administration than they do.

Dreadful - Animals are difficult to see, the aquarium is a joke, the hippos swim in a small pool full of their own excrement. It's grossly overpriced to get in, it was muddy on the day we visited, the children were so disappointed, as was I. I'll never take the family there again.
