Recommend this tour - This was a great tour led by Lee, who took us around the site and explained the ancient and modern history. Lee was great at answering questions and kindly took photos of the couples and individuals throughout the tour. The tour was well organised with good communication by the organisers. The site itself is very interesting and beautiful. I recommend taking this tour as it is early in the morning, and though still hot and humid in June, it was almost unbearable at the end of the tour at about 9am when large groups started coming in droves. As the tour started early there were very few people at the site, which was a big plus, as I imagine it gets extremely busy during the day. We had a private transfer to and from Da Nang, organised by the tour, for 300k dong each way.

It was a great tour from start to finish and a journey back in time, including experiencing a great breakfast. - From the initial booking there was great communication and the pickup was exactly on time. From there we got to learn about the local culture and practices. We then took a journey back in time to the rule of the Champa kingdom with the occasional jolt to the 1970’s and the time of the war with bullet holes, bomb craters and shrapnel fragments on the ground. We finished up with a great breakfast before being dropped off at the home at the scheduled time. Thoroughly recommend this tour including the early start which helped us avoid the crowds and some of the heat.

More than just a visit to My Son! - I loved the way our guide shared lots of details about Vietnamese daily life, including her own, while travelling to the site. The visit was very well organised to minimise waiting times, allowing also some free time to wander around the sanctuary and take photos. Breakfast felt very local.

My Son tour - A wonderful early morning tour of this gorgeous site. The guide was engaging and informative. It was empty when we got there, so we had plenty of time to look around and enjoy the tour. The food was great and the guide was an expert. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Great cultural tour - Best to go early before the heat & the crowds. - We purposely took this trip because it was in the early morning hours, not too hot and before the crowds. We were picked up by 5:20am right on time and we all arrived at the ruins by 6:30am. Before we arrived at the site the guide offered us coffee or tea at a place along the way since it was so early in the morning. We took a battery operated shuttle from the main ticket office to the ruins and walked around from there. There are ample restroom facilities as this complex is quite large and developed. On the way back k the same shuttle picked us up. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and his English was very good. We had enough time to walk around and ask questions. The breakfast was very good and served in a family’s home as a business, we ate by 9:30 am as a set menu. As we are leaving at 9am, there were already 6 large tour buses there and multiple large tour groups. It was already getting hot too. We were back to our hotel by 11am.

Great experience and beating the heat - Coming from someone who lives in a cold place I definitely recommend going early cause it’s hot, beware I was the last person to be picked up and was picked up at 5:40 in old town so be prepared for an early start. On the way we were given coffee with the option of hot or iced and with condensed milk - would recommend the iced condensed milk as the Vietnamese coffee is quite strong and the condensed milk is quite nice. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable telling us about the history of the sight and his experiences growing up in Vietnam in the years following the war. Breakfast was amazing - It was a noodle soup dish (not pho but similar) and we were given the option of chicken or vegetarian. Definitely recommend this tour
