My Son Sanctuary
for 1 hour drive. Your guide will show you the remains of the remarkable towers constructed by the Cham builders, many centuries ago. This sanctuary is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa. The temples are dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva, known under various local names, the most important of which is “Bhadresvara”. In 1937 and 1938, the main temple and the smaller temples surrounding it were restored. However, many historical buildings were destroyed during the Vietnam War and this temple was damaged by the attacks. It takes around 2 hours for visiting the sites and 15 minutes for dancing show. Back to bus station then hotel transfer for 1 hour.
Total duration: we have 2 hours for driving back and forth then another 2 hours and half for visiting and show watching.

Win for the win … an excellent guide - Win really brought My Son alive for us. He is extremely knowledgeable, and gave us a great insight into Vietnam and its culture. He is very patient and courteous and has left us with wonderful memories.

Enthusiastic, knowledgable guide with incredible English - We had a fantastic time with Win, who took us early to My Son to beat the crowds.
His knowledge of the archaeological site was incredible. He was so enthusiastic about the history of his country.
His English is outstanding, the first guide we have had who is so fluent, that he understands and uses colloquialisms, even keeping a note book to add to his knowledge.
He was above all fun and a most delightful guide

A must for a half day through history - My Son is a must see and Nguyên has been an amazing guide telling us the history of the temples and the Cham people. The traditional dance was so charming and the noodles place where he took us afterwards was delicious!

Highly recommend! - Had a great time with Nguyen at My Son Sanctuary. A very knowledgeable, local guide made for a very enriching experience. Even got great recommendations for Hoi An on the way back into town!
