Temple of Horus - We will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and transfer you by a private air-conditioned vehicle to Edfu, which is about a 50-minute drive south of Luxor. Upon arrival in Edfu, you can visit the majestic Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus. This temple is considered by many to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, this is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by killing Seth.
Temple of Kom Ombo - Next, continue your day tour to Kom Ombo, which is about a 45-minute drive from Edfu. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands on high ground overlooking the Nile. This temple is unique due to its double entrance, each dedicated to a different deity: Haroeris, with his falcon head, and Sobek, with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in honor of these two deities: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Kom Ombo is also significant for its large sugar-cane fields.
Luxor - Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor. A private, knowledgeable guide will accompany you throughout the tour until you return to Luxor.
