Incredible Day - The tour guide was pleasant and humorous! Melrose Abbey is beautiful, even in it’s current state. Alnwick Castle is an incredible fortress! This tour is highly recommended! Thanks for a wonderful day, Maj!

Recommended tour with an awesome guide - Our guide, Robert, was amazing and basically the best part of the tour, given his insight and knowledge on the sights and Scotland in general*. The trip in itself was nice, somewhat perfectible (should maybe separate a more H.Potter oriented tour (esp.for kids wanting more time at Alnwick), from a tour for those more willing to leave the castle earlier in order to see more in the area, like Bamburgh castle and/or Lindisfarne). *: big thumbs up for the group entertainement povided by Rob and Eddy

Great tour by Lord John - John gave a fantastic tour. He was very knowledgeable and had wonderful stories to tell on the drive. We had a small group, so he stopped a few bonus places including this wonderful castle on the beach. 5 stars

Always great! - This was my second tour this week with Highland Experience. A couple days ago I went to St Andrews with Jamie who was an awesome guide, especially knowledgable about whisky! Today we went with John back to his native land of England. I’ve been on tours with John before (to Oban 2 years ago) he always goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience, taking photos of you and your group and working extra stops in to scenic and interesting places.

Nice, big photogenic castle in Northumbria - Alnwick is a big, impressive castle and will take you a few hours to see it all. Harry Potter fans will recognize the courtyard and have fun taking selfies. Our tour guide was an encyclopedia of Scottish history but ironically didn't tell us anything about Alnwick Castle or Northumbria. I asked him to take us by Bamburgh Castle on the way back and we were able to get some nice photos of it from the outside too, although we didn't have time to go in. If you have time to spare, I recommend maybe spending the night in Northumbria so you can visit Alnwick, Bamburgh, and Lindisfarne while you're there. Otherwise you spend as much time driving as you do at the castle.

A fantastic history lesson from Robert! - Our guide, Robert, was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and lively. I really appreciated his flexibility with the group; he gave us options for short stops as we drove out to Alnwick so we were able to see Holy Island and touch the ocean! I give this tour a 4/5. The last mark not given because Castle Alnwick was a bit of a disappointment. My children are huge Harry Potter fans and perhaps we set our expectations too high for the Potter experience.

Trip canceled - We were sad that the trip to Alnwick was canceled. There were no dates to reschedule. We had to find a tour for this elsewhere.
