Lifetime of wonderful memories - This was a fantastic experience. Alan was professional, respectful, courteous, always mindful of our comfort/care/needs, full of history and interesting facts. So many that we started writing them down so that we could remember them all! We started joking (my daughter and I) saying that we'd make another note of the Fee-isms. Alan's last name is Fee. Worth every cent and more! He gave us the best tips, best jokes, best insight, and most importantly......a lifetime of wonderful memories. I have made a note to keep his contact information and definitely come back and tour with him again. I believe that he is even opening up his personal residence (it's spectacular by the way) as a B&B and if it's available, I'll be staying there with him upon our return! Can't say enough good things about this company. You'd be wasting your money to book with anyone else.

The BEST Tour Guide in the City of Edinburgh - Alan was terrific! Enthusiastic, knowledgable, well read, sense of humor and most accommodating! The full day was ours and the four of us enjoyed his professionalism and insight into a truly wonderful City. Looking forward to our next visit and Alan's hospitality.

Best Tour Guide Experience Ever! - My daughter did some research on local tour guides when we decided to visit Edinburgh this summer. She looked at several sites, read numerous reviews, and came to the decision that Alan would be our best bet. We booked, emailed back and forth a bit about an itinerary, and were set. We weren't sure what to expect having not used personal tour guides before, but nothing could have prepared us for the outcome. Alan was amazing! He was very well versed in local history and had extensive knowledge in general regarding Scotland and the United Kingdom. Alan made sure we saw everything on our list even managed to squeeze in a side trip to Rosslyn Chapel when we mentioned wanting to go there. The day flew by, and we found ourselves not wanting it to end. I highly recommend Alan's tour guide services through Ecosse Executive. It was the best way to experience Edinburgh and all it had to offer.

Broken Foot and Lost Wallet, But Alan Saved the Day! - We stopped in Edinburgh for one day before leaving on a cruise to Norway and chose a full day tour with Alan well before our trip. Unfortunately, we arrived with one of us on a broken foot (broken 1 day before we left and in a wheelchair) and one of us having lost his wallet at the airport the day before. Given that start, we didn't know what to expect and we couldn't have been happier about our experience. How do we describe the best tour guide we have ever had? He was extraordinary in every way, with a tremendous knowledge of Edinburgh and its history. He was FUNNY, irreverent, and sarcastic, JUST WHAT WE NEEDED! When he heard about our woes, he jumped into action. Task 1 - he found a chemist to replace lost hearing aid batteries (lost with the wallet). Task 2 - turned on the internet in his oversized Mercedes so that lost credit cards could be canceled. Task 3 - found the RBS so that lost money could be replaced and bank accounts frozen. Task 4 - in the remaining time, give us a wonderful, informative, fact-filled tour of his city to allow us to forget our problems. He even promised to send us written anecdotes of some of the stories he told during the day, so we could read them to our grandchildren. At the end of the day, we sadly said goodbye, gave him a hug and thanked him for saving the day! We could not recommend him more highly!

Awesome! We were so delighted to... -
Awesome! We were so delighted to meet out tour guide, Alan Fee. He was so personable and made you feel like you had known him all your life. His love for Scotland is so clear in the knowledge that he shared with us. We really hated to end our City Tour with him. We wished we had signed up to do his three day tour instead of the one we signed up for! Alan Fee is the owner and operator of Ecosse Executive! If we ever go back that is the way we will travel through Scotland! We give him 5 stars plus!!!

Paid $718 to be stood up - Booked a full day tour with Ecosse Executive Tours through Trip Advisor three months in advance of our day visit in Edinburgh so that my 80-something parents could enjoy the city without exhausting themselves. I confirmed the booking directly with the company two months ago and received a pleasant response that our booking was confirmed, and I could rest assured we would be well taken care of. Today we disembarked, happily walked up to Alan, the tour director, only to be told that we would be traveling with a different tour guide today. Paul, he said, would be here by 9am (the contracted time for our tour to begin), "I promise." And with that, Alan drove off with a different party. At 9:20am, after watching the precious minutes of our limited stay in Edinburgh tick away, we decided we probably needed to pivot as neither the "promise" nor the contracted-and-paid-for tour were going to be fulfilled. Thanks Ecosse and Trip Advisor for a thoroughly disappointing, stressful and crappy experience.
