A memorable tour underground. - We had a fantastic time on this tour. Loads of really interesting facts and stories of times gone by in Edinburgh. It was so well put across by our guide Linda. She had a wonderful way of communicating with us all, and had a real twinkle in her eye! Thanks so much to her. Our friend is sure she felt a coldness across her shoulders as we journeyed through the vaults in the darkness! It was all very entertaining, interesting and atmospheric. Good value for money, and we are happy to recommend.

Informative and entertaining - The team (Rory and Shannon) were very helpful and informative, Shannon was our guide and did a great job of bringing the past to life and retelling stories of what had occurred in the Edinburgh vaults all those years ago, she set the scene extremely well, thank you.

Scary tour through the vaults - An amazing tour through the vaults off Edinburgh, guide Aniela made the tour extra special with her very believable story telling.

An exciting and private experience, travelling back through time. - What an immersive experience that really taught us some truly disgusting history and gave some fascinating insights in to the events and horror that have graced the hilly streets and lanes of Edinburgh. Our guide Aniela was very knowledgable, engaging, friendly and created great drama which really added to the experience, thank you Aniela. The tour covers a small area but when you're taken down the alleyways on different sides of the Royal Mile, it seems like you've really travelled back in time. The personal headsets were a godsend and very well organised by the company. It gives you a sort of private tour feel in the middle of a busy city. The end of the tour was exhilarating and dramatic but I won't spoil anything.... Definitely recommended with the only advice that mobility is a requirement.

Fantastic guide and exciting information - The tour was really great. Marie, our guide, told exciting stories and accompanied them with great facial expressions and gestures. A great atmosphere. If I dare, I'll do the 18+ tour next time :-D

Fun Spooky Tour - This was a unique tour that gave us some interesting history and brought us to parts of the city we would not have seen otherwise. We enjoyed the story telling and the bit of creepiness.

Diving into Darkness with Mercat's Ghostly Underground Vaults tour - I joined the Ghostly Underground tour, where we explored the eerie depths of Mercat's exclusive Blair Street vaults. The guide was quite seasoned and knowledgeable, who narrated chilling stories of Edinburgh's haunting past, and shared paranormal encounters from previous tours - giving a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

Fun way to spend an hour - A little corny but quite fun. Learned a lot about the history of Edinburgh. Out tour guide, Angela was a great actress setting the atmosphere!

A walk in the past - A walk underground where people lived. Insight into things they did. For anyone really into ghosts and experiences would have been great. For me, just a walk underground.

Time killer, that's all - Definitely not the best tour I have done with Viator. Guides had good knowledge of the history, but really lacked in the acting. I actually expected to see more
