Additional Information

Take the challenge and partake in a mini trek on the Perito Moreno Glacier! I got the thrill of setting foot on the glacier.

This once-in-a-lifetime adventure starts at the ‘Bajo de las sombras’ port, located in the Los Glaciares National Park.

The entire journey lasts roughly 2 hours. In this duration, you will witness spectacular ice formations, acquaint yourselves with the regional flora, fauna, and glaciology, and notably, understand the catastrophic process of glacier calving.

Given the walk’s moderate level of difficulty and the irregular yet solid ground, it is only feasible for individuals between the ages of 08 and 65. This is chiefly due to its physical rigour. Furthermore, pregnant women or people with reduced mobility, arthritis, artificial limbs, knee issues, meniscus troubles, obesity or cardiovascular problems are not suited for it.

The organizers do not provide meals, hence participants are expected to pack their own lunch and bring along a water bottle (there’s no facility for purchasing food).

  • Minimum age is 8
  • Maximum age is 65 due to age restrictions on the operator’s insurance
  • Sports shoes or trekking boots and warm wool or cotton socks are highly recommended
  • Comfortable sportswear, long trousers, warm sweater or pile, water or windproof jacket, sun glasses, sun block and gloves are recommended
  • You must bring your own lunch
  • MUST provide passport number and date of birth in the special requirements fields when booking this tour
  • Please note that this excursion requires full day availability and cannot be combined with transfers to the airports at the same day

Wonderful Experiance - It was a very enjoyable tour of adding new experience to life. The guides are very informative & explained all the details related to ice. It is such a beautiful scenery for the eyes on what the mother nature has provided to us. Highly recommend to join this tour for a memorable experience.

don't miss - The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Their primary concerns for safety and of the guests and our enjoyment went above and beyond our expectations. Leo and Sebastián were amazing.

Patagonia dream is very... - Patagonia dream is very well organized and ponctuel, I suggest people book directly from Patagonia dream, not through other company, I booked with other company, they rarely reply me and don’t answer my questions, finally this other company took Patagonia dream, when I write to Patagonia dream, they responded my question right away . And the mini trekking is fantastic!

Worst tour booking site. Don't be fooled. - The day before we made our reservation, we were suddenly told by email that there was no space available for us due to overbooking. It was canceled the day before and we couldn't make another reservation, so it was a really awful experience. We came from Japan in 1.5 days and were traveling with no time to spare, so I think this is really the worst treatment we've received. I hope God punishes you!

Do not trust if you book via viator - We booked and paid 800 euros. Confirmed and paid the website said. They sent us an email where to pick us up and we replied within 30 min. Suddenly an email came at the end of the day that for 1 of us an overbooking was and that he had to go the day after. Since we were only were there for 1 day we explained that that was no option! At 7.00 the next day nobody came to pick us up. Several attempts were made to contact the Buenos Aires office and viator itself. No booking was Visible at hielo y adventure which organised the tour for viator, who were extremely helpfull. Viator left us down and they sent an email at 9.00, 2 hours after pickup that the tour was overbooked and no space for us! WHAT A SHAMEFULL EXPERIENCE AND NEVER AGAIN THE UNTRUSTWORTHY VIATOR AGAIN.........
